Now Alberta job market is down due to slump in oil price.

This is a little scary. How about construction and manufacturing industry, were jobs impacted in these areas also? I'm planning to land in Alberta but I'm starting to change my mind and consider Toronto perhaps, what do you think?

Thanks.

Toronto is better choice than Calgary at the moment. Alberta will take some time to recover.

Hello,

Is there any scope for civil engineers at present?

Dear seniors,

How is the impact of 2nd class citiZen would be? Are they really going to pass the bill with central govt?

Thanks.

the bill could potentially create such a thing as "second class citizen" but it doesn't explicitly say that people who become citizens are less than canadian born ones.

Also the bill has already passed and is in effect...

The job prospect for civil engineer is always good in my opinion although it might not be the greatest time for them in Calgary right now. The rest of Canada is still building left and right, especially SK

How is calgary from logistics job like warehouse supervisor. Warehouse management system analyst

ALBERTA is not a good choise for newcomers at the moment, I know a lot of ppl here struggling for jobs since last 3 to 4 months.
TORONTO is the city where are far more opportunities compare to Calgary

Is not allowed to rent for 1 bedroom their in Calgary if you are a family of 4? Our kids are still small and we are still sleeping in one bedroom. Please advice since we are searching a house since we are planning to land their in God's will by 1st week of September.

I am here in Calgary and have rented a house and can help a new immigrant family to share with me until the get jobs and ready then could get their own place. It is in the Nw west area where everything is in walking distance. the address is 501 78 av Nw. By transit to down town is 12 to 15 minutes. , banks are 5 minutes walk and superstore is about 10 minutes walk. It is good for new comers. The place is furnished so you just need to come in and stay your new live.

Contact me at 4034736205.
