This is a little scary. How about construction and manufacturing industry, were jobs impacted in these areas also? I'm planning to land in Alberta but I'm starting to change my mind and consider Toronto perhaps, what do you think?ttrajan said:Now Alberta job market is down due to slump in oil price.
Toronto is better choice than Calgary at the moment. Alberta will take some time to recover.insanbakulaw said:This is a little scary. Is there any scope for civil engineers at present?
I am here in Calgary and have rented a house and can help a new immigrant family to share with me until the get jobs and ready then could get their own place. It is in the Nw west area where everything is in walking distance. the address is 501 78 av Nw. By transit to down town is 12 to 15 minutes. , banks are 5 minutes walk and superstore is about 10 minutes walk. It is good for new comers. The place is furnished so you just need to come in and stay your new live.bjazjbej said:Is not allowed to rent for 1 bedroom their in Calgary if you are a family of 4?
