Our applications were submitted in march and we haven't got a decision yet so relax, cuz probably u won't hear anything before 3 or 4 months from cairo visa office, and they don't send an email confirming that the application has been recieved, you'll find it in ecas saying "application recieved"

Hello everyone
I am applying to sponsor my husband from Canada. He lives now in Egypt. Our file is at Cairo Visa Office now. My husband has to work outside of Egypt for 6 months. Is there anything we need to do? do we need to inform Cairo Visa office with his new country of residence? and how can we do that?....How do Cairo Visa office let applicants know when an interview is scheduled? Phone or E-mails?

For his work and travel updates .. you can inform them by doing that: bring a white sheet of paper , write this by your computer and print :
( your both names , your file number , DOB, emails, form name which I think it will be background declaring (I think, the one that mentions his work history ) and the question number , working at ... from .. at .. present and so and so.

It will be helpful for your application also if he copy the visa from his passports and any other travel visa history .
For the interview always by emails and sometimes accompanied by phone calls.

Happy new year , I wanted to spread this hope to everyone waiting his/her spouse to unite soon

My wife did her interview on Dec 22nd and they told her will call or email you within a week with the decision on PR visa
it's been 9 days now and got nothing from them

Anyone know how long approx. after an interview to get the decision ??

I hope your wife gets her landing visa soon, for me we have made an urgent request of my husband's pr card and got approved, hopefully he would receive it next week and proceed with cairo visa office.

very stressful moments to wait after the interview without knowing anything

My husband was contacted first via phone then by email for his interview as well as when to send in his passport. I would recommend making sure you give both to ensure they can contact you should they need to.

I made the trip to Egypt for the interview and was interviewed as well as my husband. I was called in after him and the VO told me at the end (30 mins or so) that he approved our file.
