for some reason it's not allowing me to post a link but its "Tracking your Application" on the sidebar of the VAC office in Cairo

Anyways the VAC office not for pr visas , only for vistors or study temp visas

I am so confused. Where do the applications go when they go to Egypt? How come when I follow the links to check the application process times on the CIC website it takes me to the VAC website?

All the Temp visas go to VAC OFFICE
But anything related to immigration , sponsorship visas go to the embassy The Visa Application ***

Centre (VAC) only provides general information and administrative services related to temporary resident applications, including study and work permits, as well as travel documents for permanent residents of Canada. The VAC is not authorized to provide any information, or respond to any inquiries, regarding permanent resident applications and Canadian consular services. This includes Express Entry for skilled immigrants, online application support, Canadian citizenship and any specific information about the visa application forms, the supporting documents or any advice related to the visa application process. Hello!

I am sponsoring my husband. we had received couple of emails from CIC with updates. Last email informed that our application is forwarded to Cairo Visa Office. And since then, we haven't heard anything from cairo visa office. E-cas shows progress of receiving medical results...etc but no email notifications. it causes us to worry not to receive emails from Cairo Visa Office or any kind of communication. is this normal? shouldn't we be receiving emails? do you guys receive emails notifications?

cairo office usually don’t send any emails unless they need extra documents or just prior decision made ..track using your eCAS

Sure I think it's pretty close to yours actually

Application was received on April 8, 2015.
Started processing May 1, 2015.
Decision made June 17, 2015
Started processing my husband's application August 6th 2015
medical results received

so if it does end up taking 7-9 months does that mean he could be here as early as February?

Hello everybody,

I sent a my child file from 1st augast and I got the acceptance in 19th sep. Now the file in CVO, we did the medical for him but there are nothing in the site except (file received) .

whats your expectations .
