Hello guys
I want to know approx., after getting the SA, how long it takes to issue the visa in Cairo right now ??
I knew friends applied last year and it took 2 to 4 month to get the visa ...is still the same or as what in the website 20 month which is incredible...!
and ....anyone here has application in process for spousal sponsorship from Egypt??

I have no Idea Medopharm. I have seen a friend getting it as fast as 4 months as you mentioned. However I suggest it is case by case with an average time frame of 6 to 10 months in most to the point applications.

I am in the same boat like you hoping this is all ending up with a 4 months process and that's it

can anyone explains what will happen to the new sponsorship application i submitted to Mississauga to sponsor my wife who lives in Egypt. i received email message saying we just opened your file ( after 55 days ), i do know what will be the next step

also i see on the website that the Canadian office in Cairo is closed, so how this affects the processing time

i do appreciate all your help

OUR application was received in October 2014. we are now at the medical received stage, there seems to be no effect of the office closure on the processing of your file ; as we are now in the last stage of ours...GOOD luck on your processing.

from October until now in Cairo. .7 months !!! Too long isn't it? ?

Anything new? I have applied in march and my file was transferred in june, i suggest everyone add his/her timeline at trackit website
I guess the processing times in the cic website isn't that accurate, i hope it takes less time than that

Hi everyone iam new here, can someone help me?Iam canadian citizen I want to sponsor my wife i did a medical test for my wife last year Dec 31,2014 in egypt for canada and I haven't complete the application yet. do I have to do another medical?or should i apply with this one I heared the medical test is till one year expires. My wife now she is pregnant one month can I do the medical test again now? Or they will hold my application that i want to send now till she give a birth? my question is how long is the processing time for egypt and the visa is in egypt or narobi? If her passport is Djibouti? Should I start my application soon any advice brothers?

And if she has a permenant residency status in egypt she can choose if she wants it to be processed in nairobi or cairo

The medical examination has 1 year validity
I guess it's better for her to do the examination again and let her inform the doctors that she's pregnant because the x-ray is dangerous for the baby
And if she hasn't landed before giving birth you MUST inform cic that you have a child or you won't EVER be able to sponsor that baby
Don't let her land before declaring your new child and making a medical exam for him too

thanx for help but how can change the visa in egypt instead of narobi?
Where is faster egypt visa or narobi? I want to do police clearance where. do u know in egypt where do I goto do that? How long is the processing in egypt

Well since all the Cairo applicants are here.Let me share with you, where we at right now.
Documents were received by CPC On Nov 15th/2014
We got our eligibility to sponsor in February 10th.
File was sent to Cairo-Egypt in February 20th.
Medical was done when we applied initially.
Ecas showing File received.
No updates so far ....
