Hi guys,


i finally got an email from the embassy

"Dear Madam,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

We are pleased to inform you that your file is now ready for visa issuance. In this regard, you are requested to send us the following documents by courier only (such as DHL, TNT, Aramex, etc):

(X) 2 recent photos for you. Photo specifications attached.

(X) Original/valid passport for you to enable us to issue your immigrant visas. Please note that each member of your family should have his own separate passport.

(X) Please indicate on a separate sheet the height and colour of eyes."


i do have a question, what do they mean by the last requirement in regards to the height and the colour of eyes??

does it have to be in a certain format ?

1st congrats to everyone who has heard good news in recent weeks!!! hope the rest of us follow soon.
@khilo, I think it varies depending on which country you are in (egypt, Palestine or sudan), I know that for some people in sudan it has taken from 1-3 month, but i've seen here that for some people in egypt it's only taken a few days. On average I believe it takes 1 month. Hope that's helpful, and I hope that you receive yours very soon

thanks for the reply... mine will be heading to Palestine (gaza) but I am not sure how it is coming back .... DHL worker says he doesn't know how it is coming back and might cost $600 dollars .... WHAT !!!!

it took the embassy 11 days to inform me that passport is ready for collection.it takes from 3 to 5 days to receive the passport by DHL or others to any where.

Why is the Govt so hard to deal with! :-X Every single time I have to communicate with CIC or ATIP it's sooo frustrating.

I sent in our request for the GMCS notes on our file along with the spousal consent and photocopy of my passport. Yesterday I get an email from them stating;

"I regret to inform you that we are unable to process your request for the following reason(s):

The consent you have provided does not give you authority to obtain all the information you have requested. Please either amend your request or provide a new consent (spouse consent) authorizing you to obtain what you have requested."

I email them back and ask them what consent form they would like me to use. This morning I get a reply with a consent form attached for us to fill out.......It's the SAME form I sent them!! Sooooo I send them back the form I had originally sent them.

Can't wait to see what their reply will be when I get home from work tonight!

I have a question.

We had a request from the Cairo Visa Office for additional information (notarized). We sent the requested info back to them within 24hrs as they said they would not further process our file until they received this info.

I scanned the documents and returned them via reply to the email they sent us. In my reply I asked if they would like me to forward them the originals in the mail and if so to please confirm the postal address I should send them too. This was November 20th and I have not had a reply from them.

Should I send the originals to the PO Box on their website?
