We knew there was a problem when we were waiting for our sponsorship to be approved...online it said they were working on applications past the date ours was submitted and westill hadn't heard anything (I think it said "working on files submitted feb 13" and ours was submitted jan11 so we contacted them and they told us that they couldn't find our file in the system and they told us to wait 4 weeks while they investigated.... So we waited 4 weeks and shortly after that we got the approval email....so we waited 3 months for our sponsorship approval when (according to their time online) we should have only waited less than 2.....

I will look in my email for the exact date of approval and when it was transferred but it was sometime in April...

Any guess of when they will contact us next??

i really wish that will end soon for both of you n ur husband and be together soon
what they have done is really so awesome news and it look that they will finish that very soon and in process means that its the last step for you and when they requested that police certificate so they can finish the security check and all back ground check and this is the last thing before they give decision about ur file
so the following for you will be requesting your passport or in case they want more info they will interview you but this is not going to happen at least possibility of that happen is very little and weak especially that phone calling that they made with ur husband and they told him to waive the interview
so ithink it just time for you very soon you will hear about that
and if you feel kind of worry you can order CAIPS but it might take 30 days and i know you will hear from them before that date
be prepared it look like its time for both of you to leaving Egypt soon

Thanks . Well I guess the main reason for this delay is the background check I guess . Iam palestinain lived in Canada And currently living in the USA . The other thing is missing my RPRF payment which I had already paid upfront on 2010 and lost it and found out that my payment wasnot found or submited to Cairo visa office after 2 months of waiting .I forgot to mention that I did a second medical on 6.20. 2012 and 2 months later found out that my RPRF payment is not in the system . So I paid again just to avoid any more delay with finding the old payment . Paid it on august 23 and received the ppr on Sunday sept.2.2012 . So my delay was cus of that 3 things just mentioned ..

did they said that ur medical result has been received if so u will got the final decision soon either interview or requesting ur passport to issue the visa

we made our medical back July10 2011.... and the officer told my husband (on Sep18) when she asked for the updated police certificate, she told him that she was going to call London to see if he needed another medical or if the date could be extended...
it shows 'medical results received' online, but it has showed that for a long time...

so I'm not really sure what that means for us now...

Just don't worry, it will be all over soon, I think they now accept med. results for 1.5 year

oh wow thats impressive are u sure that this was cairo visa office oh wow hahahahaha
they can give you an extension for your medical and ireally hope that they will do it for your case but the problem that London visa office wont accept that and will force you to do another medical and that what happened with me honestly
so my advice for you dont do any re medical until they request a new one
but in case if they request dont get panic it just two months at all and sometimes it only 45 days something around that

Also, if anyone else would like to be added to the spreadsheet (Amr K?), please let me know. Do you want me to add a column or two for med requests/received? It didn't seem that important to the overall timeline to me, but if people want me to add it, I will. Thanks!

A change is good. You are so lucky, you have received an AOR, then your status changed which means they are working on your file,...
