Hi guys,
I received an email from the Immigration Section this morning asking us to resend the forms that we send in June and to fill and send a travel history from. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Allah Kareem.

did they told you that you have any problems with your information or they lost it ?

nope, they never said if their was anything wrong with them. The first time they said to complete them and send them. The second time they said to resend. These are the only forms they have asked me to resend, both times i have sent the same forms. I'm assuming that they have lost or didn't not receive them. I hope this is the final stage. I can't imagine what else they would need. how long should i wait before asking them if they have received them?

you have to send them to be sure that they received it !

they refused to give me TRV last year they told me that i didn't sent the additional required papers
in the same time , i am sure 100 % i sent them correctly by email

i don't know what is their problem with the mail ?? !!

“All the resources have been thrown at processing the temporary resident visas. They are going to fall far short on their annual immigration target (of 260,000).”

Some people seem to have been contacted by the Cairo office, so maybe they are still working on the spousal visas? I really hope so.

Well for my family and I, we sent everything after receiving my CSQ "as a Quebec Skilled Worker" last October to the Ottawa office, and we did our medical checkup at the end of December 2012. Since that time we didn't do anything and we weren't getting any useful info regarding our file.
Recently, last June, we received an email from the embassy here in Cairo telling us that the file is here in Egypt and should be processed in turn.
Since that e-mail we didn't receive anything from them, although we sent the Cairo Office and the Ottawa office like millions of mails, but we are not getting any replies from them yet.

Does anybody in here know when should we expect them to contact us or if they contact us will they need anything new from us except the fees?

My concern is the WHEN will they may contact us. We did our interview on May 2012, so it has been a very long time since then. Any help?

I know this is related to the Skilled Worker part but I couldn't find something helpful regarding Egypt anywhere else.

i would like to know one thing i am currently staying in Canada and my wife is living with her family in Cairo. Anyways to make my story as short as possible i got married and i filed my wife's papers to the CIC and i got approved September 7 2012 and since that time i haven't heard anything from the Canadian embassy in Cairo last week i checked her online status and it says processing started may 13 2013. is it normal to wait that long and her medical examination expired like a year and half ago and we never heard from the embassy regarding that too. My main concern regarding this situation what is the normal processing time " i know the normal processing time for Cairo is 18 month" but those 18 month since you filed your papers to the CIC or since i received the letter of approval for sponsorship.

Total time since i sent her papers to the CIC is a year and 5 months

I hope someone can tell me what to do because my wife and i are a bit frustrated regarding this situation.

Hi, the 18 months starts when you got approved to sponsor your wife. For me, we applied Dec 1, I got approval to sponsor my husband March 1st, so our wait starts from March 1st, 2013. Can you try and contact the embassy to see your status? Or you can contact your MP and ask them to look into it for you. The Cairo Office deals coldly with inquiries, sure they will delay the replay if you send more emails to them

i think you have to submit ATIP, it me be helpful more than emails

Hi there,

My MP's office got back to me in one day, and they contacted and heard back from the Canadian Embassy in Cairo within two days (and this was during the Cairo office closures). It was really quick. If you don't hear back within a week from your MP you should follow up with another e-mail.

the officer told my wife that they sent the embassy and they will call us immediately after replying
