Thank you for your reply, but no it doesn't answer my questions. I am the sponsor who is sponsoring my husband, but in my marriage cert i used my Egyptian ID not my Canadian, i have dual citizenship, so when i send in my application do i need to provide them with a translated copy of that ID??.
Also, on the web site it says any documents translated need to have true copies with them, does this mean the translation true copies or true copies of the original document?
another question i had was is it ok to send the application to my mom in canada to mail it for me from there, since im here in Egypt?
Just send the translated documents "the translation true copies" with their copies as they were given to you. no need for the arabic originals to be sent
No need for the ID, the passport replaces all that

thats what i did and nothing stop my file in first of sponsorship and i got approved for it and i went through interview and no one talk with about why ididnt translate my id or what i didnt change it
guys believe me the extra papers or document that not necessary i think it make your file delay and take more time because they will check out about that which mean more time

Yes, No true copies of the translated
Any document that is not in English or French must be accompanied by:

the English or French translation;
a certified copy of the document; and
a translator's declaration.
Note: The declaration must include the translator's name, the original language of the translated document and a statement signed by the translator that the translation is accurate. Translators who are certified members in good standing of one of the provincial or territorial organizations of translators and interpreters of Canada do not need to supply an affidavit.

no its not right he have to to obtained that one of his father name you know why that because they want to know who is your family your parents and your brothers and sister and half brothers and sisters and step mothers
to get kashef el ahl is not necessary on his name you know why because you you and ur husband already attach it your marriage certificate so why
plus they didnt ask it
your husband must do it in his father names as i told in my last post how he can do it
believe me that what i did and it worked out so good
guys dont do anything that they didnt requested the extra non - necessary it cause delaying in your file guys
here how he can do Kashef EL ahl
and also the Kashf Alahl that family certificate showing whose your family
this is only for your father so take your father id and mother and sister and brother and if your father married more than one wife or you have -brother or half- sisters so just bring everyone birth certificate and also for yours plus your father id and his birth certificate then get that paper and then translate it with ministry of justice that is it
that what i did also

Don't worry...either one should work...I have seen people use both here (go back to early posts ...)...You shouldn't worry.
I have also spoken to CIC agent and they were a bit confused since this is a VO requirement but their logic was the applicant's family composition...also if you read it well it says the applicant family NOT his/her father...So what you did is better

First congrats for the approval , well actually the second step is longer than the first one... Now the waiting is 14 months total.. But I would say it takes from 9 to 12 months average... Good luck
for it to take 9months we should have had our file transfered 3-4 months ago. Some people here had PPR 3months ago and still did not get the Visa!

the cic is agents always saying yes for every single thing hahahha i called them one time asking them about military service certificate and they said yes do it hahha and many people here didnt even do it and they finish whole processing and they r in Canada now hahahha they didnt even did something like that
its about applicant family that is what they want
you know whats pilot office now job
is processing the file instead of Cairo visa office and the Cairo visa office now doing the security checks and background check and getting the medical result and this is only for the people who informed that their file transferred to Ottawa
usually Ottawa doesnt take that long more than 4 months you can look at all people here time line
but i think more extra paper and complicated files that having things which is not necessary that what make it delay and delay
they looking for that paper for applicant family no body else
You must provide a Family Composition Certificate (“Kashf El Ahl”) issued by the Civil Register (“Sigil El Madani”) or a copy of your family booklet where applicable.

my file didnt take more than 40 days in Ottawa pilot until it sent to Cairo to complete the processing like make those background check getting medical results..... etc plus my medical was expired
be simple as you can bcz there is human been will look at your file and its better to find it so easy just do what they asked to do tootab

To each their own! Has any of 2012 applicants heard that their file is to be finalized to Cairo? Or let me ask differently? Did anyone of 2012 have their file in Ottawa for just 40 days?

Here are a links for organizing your material

the normal files in Ottawa take around 4 months to processed then it send to Cairo visa office to complete the others processing
how do any one know that their file in Cairo visa office ? simply with first contact from them after Ottawa step or you can find out in Caips Or what ever it called
i dont know whats happening with the people who applying after March ,2012 but probably Ottawa doesnt take more than 4 or 5 months then they send the files to Cairo visa office that is it
the bottom line be simple as you can dont make your file like hug or very small
believe me from my experience big files take long
i really like that way of this like how i organized our application its so awesome
