Did you get any ghost email before your BOWP got approved ???

It's the email you get from MyCIC saying there is an update to your file but when you login there is no apparent updates. I'm thinking there is a back end update (such as moving to another queue).

I got a few of them for my first BOWP and got my first one for second BOWP last night (applied August 31).

I received something like no updates to your application email exactly after 30 days from the date I submitted the application.

I have also received two of the no updates emails (each 30 days apart).

When I did my first BOWP last November I received one of these 'your application has been updated' emails about 2 weeks before the actual approval, but it was only about 40 days for approval then.

God knows what they want..I have seen cases where others are getting EE PR in 2 months and for our WP and PR they are taking so much time.

How could I let CIC know that we have finished the medical exam?

Login to My cic and check they must be an option to upload the document. If yours is paper application then you have send via courier.

I will apply for an extension of my wp for the second time as I am waiting for PR. Does anyone know if they accept the old criminal record certificate (the one that I used for the PR) or it has to be issued a new one? Do they use in general the documents that are in the file for the PR or they need new ones? Are photos necessary also? How long does it take currently to issue the extension of the wp?Thanks!

I don't remember a Police Record to be a requirement when applying for the BOWP. On the other hand, I also did not leave to live outside of Canada before I applied for my second one a few weeks ago.

I have a quick question. What is a general duration if our work permit is approved? I mean do they approve us for 1 more year? also, can you renew your BOWP if you are sill waiting for PPR?

I need to appy for BOWP soon and my passport will expire in June 2016. Are they only going to approve me until my passport expire?

Please advice..
