Ok guys, correct me if I'm wrong. Even if I have my PR card and I travel by car to USA I need US visa right?

Yes, if you come from a country that's not in the visa waiver program...then yes you need a US visa...

Anyone in this forum who landed before me 9April 5, 2011) and got his/her PR card. We are traveling next Tuesday wondering to expect it or not.

Thanks super as always... Looks like you and I are the only one visiting here who has gotten their PR Status. We changed our flights to May 24 (because of some other issues)... Hopefully, you and I will receive the cards by then... Let me know when you get yours... We landed same week!

Less than 2 months. I wont be expecting anything if i were you till late June or early July. Also be aware that cic just added another month in their processing time since last year. Lets just hope for the best! But its good to know that there is progress in your application..

I had to cancel my trip to Puerto Vallarta because the PR card has not come yet. They told me to get a temp visa to travel but I would have to go to the Canadian embassy in Mexico City. I'm not gonna travel around the country to get it since I'm only gonna be in a resort for a week anyways

I'm with you on that! I also planned to go to mexico and abuse the deals they have right now.Without a pr card it looks like its currently out of our reach!

Most cases yes! It also means the processing will be swifter.

Got passports back from Buffalo yesterday (Buffalo took 11 business days to return them).
Going to the border to land tomorrow, will post how it went.

Actually checking at this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp which has been updated May/4/2011 it says it gets 31 business days to recieve the PR card, according to that my PR card will be sent next week...
