Today my e-case changed.....
We started processing your application on January 18, 2011.
We transferred your application to the Seattle office on April 28, 2011. The Seattle office may contact you.

I submited my applications on 17 July 2010 and Medicle done on 10 Feb 2011.

Most cases yes! It also means the processing will be swifter.

Congrats mutt391..with regards to Credit Cards updating them with your new sin, you don't have to. I work with a bank institution and I was told I don't have to. I only went to my branch updated my records but called one of the CC and the guy told me I am not required or obligated to do it, he said you should keep that to yourself and be careful on giving that to anyone. I haven't yet updated my records at CRA since I filed my taxes with the previous SIN. But I already sent my request to BC health care deptmnt thru my employer since it is a group plan.

Thanks, I kinda figured! Going back to my previous post, i recently discovered that there is ONE letter missing in the "city of birth" in my COPR. They said there MIGHT be a maximum amount of characters they can put in that field. Ever heard of this?? I did my landing nonetheless since it wasn't a crucial error, as per the corresponding document they sent.

Super is right. You DO NOT have to update your SIN with the credit card and the Credit Bureau but its a personal choice. I like to do that so that my records are kept correct and updated.

Sorry, did not get ya. of course, if you have your passport and a US visa. I do not see why not you go to US but coming back to Canada, you would either need your card or a temporary permit to get in Canada. You should also get an Identification Card from BC. You just need two cards to make one (or a Driver's license). But again, I do not understand the question and the intent.

I had to cancel my trip to Puerto Vallarta because the PR card has not come yet. They told me to get a temp visa to travel but I would have to go to the Canadian embassy in Mexico City. I'm not gonna travel around the country to get it since I'm only gonna be in a resort for a week anyways

I am gonna get fired again by sept15. You do not need any sort of permit. I was told by the officer that if I want to go to US and my card has not yet arrived, I can do so using my COPR but only by land, not by plane or boat, only by car. If you plan to travel to US by Air then you better get a Visa if you have not received your PR card....

NO. I fire myself this time. Very good to know. I did not know that there is a difference in entering a Country via different ports. Hmmmm. That is indeed very good to know. Thanks for enlightening me.

Anyone in this forum who landed before me 9April 5, 2011) and got his/her PR card. We are traveling next Tuesday wondering to expect it or not.

Same thing happened to a colleague of mine. Seattle apparrently processes applications faster and she got hers approved.I will take it as good thing.
