Thanks are you sure about that
I know that my previous time here in canada counts at a .5 ratio but ive heard only up to a year

Hopefully you are correct

During last 4 yrs, your each day ( before PR) is counted as half day and after landing (ofcourse after getting PR), each day is counted as 1 day. You need 1095 (approx 3 yrs worth of full days) to qualify.

In my case, since I left Canada almost 2 yrs bk, it won't work that much to my advantage, unless I get my visa and land this year.

Hi Guys,

just got an email from Ottawa regarding Request for further information. Personal History EXXXXXXXX They asked me to fill up IMM5669E.pdf the form.
This is the email which I got from Ottawa a moment ago:

Dear Mr. Ur-Rehman

Before we can continue processing your application we require all of your Personal History details for the last ten years. You have submitted an IMM 5669 Schedule A indicating Personal History from 2005. If you require additional space please afix a seperate word document and maintain the same format.

Please send this information via email ASAP so that we may avoid further delays.

Juts wanted to ask should I only fill up Personal History section or whole the form?

Any suggestion would be really helpful.

Thanks,

Hi Bongcan

So these 1095 should be continuous or can be it be discontinued like we stay 2 yrs in Can and then go out and comeback after a yr and stay for another 18 months so will all this cumulate?

thanks

I am sorry but, It is not a correct information. No matter what how long you lived in Canada before getting your permanent status, they will only count up to maximum a year. So in glowing hearts case he needs 2 more year in canada out of 5 in order to get his citizenship.

Thanks ram84, I would be completing that form, I need to find the old form which I filled up when I submitted the application, anyway, I appreciate your assistance.

Wish to get Medical Request ASAP :)

Hi all,
I have a question and I hope experts here can help me. I have applied for PR almost 2 years ago, and since then nothing happened. I am the main applicant of application, but My husband has recently got a very prestigious job offer. Should I add this to my application and does it help? if yes please let me know how to do that?
Thanks
Bahar

It doesn't look like a good idea.It will probably delay your application.There are so many people who are working in Canada even those people are waiting for long time to get PR.

Given above is my opinion

You can check I think there is some category for people with Job offer.You can apply in that category ,it might get you PR earlier

I may be wrong but can you point to the official rule. What I see in CIC is:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/become-eligibility.asp

https://eservicesak.cic.gc.ca/rescalc/resCalcStartNew.do?&lang=en

What is the residence requirement?
To be eligible for Canadian citizenship, you must have lived in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) out of the four years (1,460 days) preceding your application. Please note that you cannot meet the residence requirements for citizenship without a minimum of two (2) years as a permanent resident.

When calculating your time in Canada:

•only the four (4) years preceding the date of your application are taken into account;
•each day you lived in Canada before you became a permanent resident counts as half a day;
•each day you lived in Canada after you became a permanent resident counts as one day;
•time spent serving a sentence for an offence in Canada (e.g. prison, penitentiary, jail, reformatory, conditional sentence, probation and/or parole) cannot be counted toward residence - there are some exceptions to this rule;
•absences from Canada may have an impact on your residence. Only a citizenship judge can determine if you meet the residence requirements with fewer than 1,095 days of physical presence.
