Hi everyone,

I am on the same boat as most of the folks on this thread.

Applied under FSW after I graduated from my Master's program in April 2010
All Documents were received by Buffalo office in July 2010
Received Medical request in April 2012
Completed Medicals in May 2012

And I have been waiting since then.

As my Post Graduate Work Permit is expiring in Feb 2013, my employer applied for LMO. Even the LMO application seems to be in a limbo because Services Canada is giving Ottawa a run for its money in terms of incompetency. I am trying hard to stay positive; but trust me... it is very, very, VERY difficult,

I read somewhere in the CIC website that there is a exemption for PR applicants that need a new workpermit that they dont require a LMO anymore
I cant find it now but will keep looking

That is correct. However, this exemption was brought in as of 15 December 2012 and my employer applied for the LMO in November 2012; before this exemption was implemented. I applied for a new work permit under this exemption on 19 December 2012. According to the CIC call center, as of 07 January 2013, CIC was processing work permit applications received on 10 October 2012. This means that I will not get a new work permit before my current one expires; and I go in "implied status".

My employer has not retracted the LMO application in the hope that the LMO would be approved before my current one expires and that I wouldn't have to go into implied status.

Hi Leodlg,

As per the latest update by cic, applicants who are pending decision on their FSW application do not need apply for a LMO
and are eligible for a 1 yr open work permit, this is not implement yet???

Urgent help needed regarding bank account:

Can any one please tell, if a FSW (July 2011) applicant change the bank account (i.e. withdraw the deposited money from previous account and deposit the same amount into another account in a new bank) and send the required bank documents to CIC to update, may it create problem??

My brother is having problem with the current bank account and need to change the bank account. The medical is not done yet. The eCAS is showing In Process.

I dont see why it should be a problem if he sends and keeps records of both accounts the new nd the old showing that the withdraw and the deposit were made instataneously

is their any way we can force ottawa to give us decision on our files
they are just wasting time

It won't make any differences. If they again need the bank statement, they will ask you to resubmit later.
