yes you can apply for a visitor visa and visit..for comming back to us..you need a valid h1b visa..if not..or if your h1b is expired but you have a valid i-94 and i-797 (not expired) then you can use AVR to enter US.

Yes after a long wait since April, I finally got Medical request on Dec 14, 2012.

Ø Complete or provide proof of completion of the Immigration medical examination for yourself, and all family members. For more information, please visit: **** This must be received at this office by: February 12th, 2013.
Ø A completed Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) for yourself. This must be received at this office by: February 12th, 2013.
Ø A separate and newly completed Schedule 1 Background Declaration form (IMM0008 Schedule 1) bearing original signature(s) yourself and Spouse/Common-law partner. This must be received at this office by: February 12th, 2013.
Ø A newly completed Schedule 3 Economic Classes Federal Skilled Workers form for yourself. This must be received at this office by: February 12th, 2013.

Do I need to send return envelope for sending passports back from Detroit? I am actually going on vacation starting from Jan 18th so I need my passports badly before that date. How long it's going to take to get the passports back?
