Completed my landing yesterday through Toronto. I flew in from US.
It went fast and in about 40 minutes i was out of the airport. At no point i was asked for the proof of funds.

Also went to get my US h1 visa stamped today in Toronto and it was successful

i was making a round in the forum, and some FSW2 with an AOR from December, are getting Med Req and things like this. Again, it seems to me that Dec 2010 AOR are moving now.

If you guys have some confirmation

I haven't seen Nov. move. I am Nov. myself. So, I really don't know!

so i was talking about AOR in Dec 2010, your is Feb 2011, everything is concording to me, they are processing Dec2010, MP told me end of Feb i should have some news. Which seems to be quite true ...

Where did you see some ppl, AOR in Dec 2010, getting medicals from Ottawa? I haven't seen one ! It can be heart warming if it is really happening. Would you please show us?

I believe there are no Visa officers in this forum? Everyone on here is waiting (which can be very frustrating sometimes though). So the insight you need is to wait. And you are clearly M01.

So im looking at waiting till the end of 2014?! This is just unacceptable.

Is there anyway to change employer away from the employer who I submitted as my current and arranged employment. Being stuck in the same job from 2010 to 2014 isn't much fun.

Other offices work on MI2, but Ottawa not, so there are no applicants who got any progress till now. They are working on MI1 (med request April 2012 and on those who had to send more supportive docs)

First congrats for everything went smooth in your way.
I have two questions :

1. Which province you have applied for, isnt it too cold these days.

2. You got you h1b visa in one day, how come. Because from india, pakistan it takes 2 to 3 months. Is it true that on the basis of your extension letter you can get h1b visa stamped on the same day. Please throw some light on this.

The Ottawa Case Processing Centre posted on its site that "all (FSW) files received between June 26, 2010 and June 30,2012 will be assessed in 2013 and that files received between Feb 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010: as many as possible will be processed in 2013".

What's the difference between assessed and processed? Does this mean that files received between June 26, 2010 and June 30,2012 won't be processed? They will just be looked at?

1. I am under FSW category. So i don't believe the province thing applies to me
2. It does not take 2 to 3 months for everyone. There may be a few cases which are selected for further processing which is causing that long processing time. No one knows for sure on what basis they pick those cases

Hello everyone!

We are getting ready to apply now but thought I'd ask here first. CIC website shows that processing time for FSW in Ottowa is 8 months but after reading this thread it sort of looks untrue. I have a choice of applying either to Moscow or to Ottowa so need to decide very soon, don't want to drag this any longer to be honest.

If anyone can share thoughts on this I would greatly appreciate. Thanks!
