1. Can my spouse apply for open work permit?

2. I f my spouse want to join me after 3 to 5 months, is it ok if i apply his TRV and open work permit alongwith my application or sholud he apply at later stage when he really wants to join me?

Man, you're in the wrong forum. This is for Skilled Worker category, nor work permits nor PNP...

Hi guys,
I have heard that any file(applicants after June 2010) in Ottawa is supposed to be completed within 12 months from the date it has been received in there. This is what MP told to 2 friends of mine independently. MP has forwarded an email to my friend which has actually been the reply from CIC to MP's question about his case. In that email CIC stated that files like my friend's should be gone within 12 months from the date f arrival in Ottawa !
Does anybody confirm that? Has anybody heard something like that?

Hello! I have been following this forum quite a while, though have registered just today. We apply for FSW2 on June 2011, still RBVO.

bahar,

same echo to my MP, 1 year from the time it has been to Ottawa ...., so if your file was pending 2 years in Buffalo, you are good for another year

No I haven't heard anything like that. However, on cic the processing time for CPP Ottawa is 8 month. I wish it would be true!

8 months ??? which means almost all person transferred in July should have at least received the MR now .... which not the case at all. those 8 months look no valid ex-Buffalo FSW

maybe for recent FSW ...

So another MP has said the same timing! (I hope your MP is different from my friend's which is a guy in Ottawa), I see, It is really frustrating to wait more after almost 2 years! but it still is bringing me a little hope ! Based on my CAIPS, my file has been transfered to Ottawa in July 2012. So I should have 8 months from now on .

Bahar,

i have the same time lines than you, and the MP is not from Ottawa. He also tell me to do a follow up in Feb 2013, expecting some moves but no guarantee.

the hope could be : 12 months from July - 4 months for the PPR = MR around Feb/ March 2013

Yep, it makes sense. However a friend who sent his docs to Buffalo in Dec 2010, and it is transfered to Ottawa in May 2012(based on what his MP said) hasn't received MR yet and his Ecas shows RBVO. If his MR comes, I'll update you. We are all sick of this slow system and updating each other with good news for others can make this waiting period a little bit smooth.
Thanks.

when I asked CIC on a phone call ya they told me that the processing in Ottawa is 12 month average, but I asked her average??Can it be more??, she said yes it can be.
Hopefully it's 12 month maximum

thanks Bahar, i am also looking forward to ear from 2010/2011 applications. It seems nothing has been touched yet or under some process but it's not visible by us for now

Dear marmar1984, bahar855, ONT_R

It might be a wild speculation by the MPs or they just told you so, because they don't want to hear beck from you.... the thing that you are doing is correct... still get into contact with the local MPs... share the level of suffering and frustration with them and if yu find out that there is a way for an easy cheap law suit or any other alternative activities than hoping and doing nothing, please update us too

Did i misundertood your idea?
You are talking about suing the canadian goverment?
On what grounds?
What benefit will you get out of it?
Do you think that if you start a lawsuit against them your case will be approved?

Bad idea, they have the right to reject us all if yhey want no mater how many points or phd we have
Tey did that with pre 2008 applicants
