it all depends on how far your case is

Hey Ram,

Double check his post, he has arranged employment, so in this case you don't need the work experience requirement.

Hello Guys,

I did some caculations and tried to understand the fact about FSW2 category timeline, which is round about 18-24 months which is just to get a reply from immigration people. Before 18 months, if a person gets anything from them, its a bonus, otherwise they wont do anything before this period. If you compare the applications filed in 2010, those people got their medical request after 18-24 months of the filling of appliactions. Some people get the whole process done in 18-24 months, otherwise it takes another 6 months after that. So, 2011 applicants should have some patience because they will take their time, at least 18 months to send you a request like medical or something. I am also an october 2011 applicant, so have to wait at least 6-7 months to hear from them. :( Good luck guys.

Hey Peter191,

I am in Barrie too. Good to know someone from the area.

I applied for PR in Mar 2011 under FSW Arranged Employment. I have been working with the same employer since Sep 2010. But I had 2 months of break in Nov-Dec 2011. I became Supervisor in Feb 2011. Which means, I will have 24 months experience by Feb 2013 to apply under CEC. My current work permit is based on LMO which expires in Feb 2013. My employer has already advertised the job on jobbank.gc.ca. Hopefully, in 4 months I will have positive LMO, and in Jan 2013 I will be able to apply for another work permit based on LMO.

My file was transfered to Buffalo VO on April 6, 2011 from CIO. I received fingerprint request for my wife in June, 2011, which was delivered to Ottawa on July 25, 2011. In Aug 2011, Buffalo received the results of no trace. Not sure when the file got transfered to Ottawa this year, but I assume it was in June 2012. I sent an inquiry to CPP-O in July which they replied saying pending officer review. Hopefully, we hear in another 2-3 months.Anything before that is a bonus.

Regards,
Shiv

Nadeem55,

My timelines are very similar to yours but I havent received any intimation so far that my file is transfered. How did you know yours is transfered to ottawa and not to any other US cities?

Hi jainesh97,

I've informed by my local MP as I asked them for it, also I sent an inquiry to Ottawa regarding updating my new born and WP extended copy which they did and send me a response that my documents are updated furthermore, I asked them when I can expect the next step, I got response from Ottawa that, my application is in process and we can not tell the exact date.

I hope this will help you.

Regards,
Nadeem

Hi nadeem55
was happy to see your post. Please see my timeliness on left. I have not heard anything since September 2011. I don't know when our file was transferred. I wrote to the Ottawa email but they did not reply so far. I have question to ask you and will be thankful for the answer. We also want to add our Nw born baby to the application. I want to know the following
1. What all documents should we send
2. Should we wait to get the status fromottawa then send the docs or just now.
3. How much fee do we need to send at this stage (we have not been asked to pay our rprf).
Thanks in advance.

what visa office should we request for when we file a new application now?

Hi diji,

Please update me where you're living at the moment?
I'm already living in Canada and my new born is Canadian by birth, only I send them the birth certificate, that's enough, please explain your situation, then we can suggest anything for you.

Thanks,
Nadeem

Hi Ram,

I had graduated from a college in Canada. I applied under arranged employment (FSW2) where in the requirement was of genuine and valid offer of arrangement employment which should be full time, permanent, and not seasonal, and no experience requirment.

On A-LMO, thanks, I am aware of it. I was just not sure of the process after the A-LMO is approved from an employer's point of view, so we decided on taking this route. I dont mind doing it well ahead of time either.

Regards,
Shiv

Hi Shiv,

I live in huntsville, little north of you guys.

If you start work from sep 2010, how can you apply in march 2011, with only 7 months exp?

In FSW, minimum requirement is that you should have 1 year full time exp, right?

Have you had more exp before in canada or any studies?

Ram

Hello friends,

My status was changed to "Your application was reviewed and we started processing on May 15, 2012" I had applied in May 2010. Now since the buffalo office is closed and applications are forwarded to ottawa, is there a way to check the status. Since on the cic website it says your status will not be updated and I also wrote a letter to ottawa office and they replied that due to high volume of processing they are not able to tell me anything, a concerned officer will contact if necessary!!!
Just wondering what is going on? I had arranged employment as well. Its too frustrating.
any body with the same experience? your suggestions are welcome.
Good luck.

Hi
