Wao.. that a great news Sealth07. At least one good news. Ottawa office acted really fast...!!!! I guess your file was also complete. Just one question, Did you include police clearance from everyplace you ever lived more than 6 months?
Yes, i did include police clearance with the file that i sent to buffalo VO in Jan 2011 & buffalo VO also asked me to forward my fingerprint check in july 2011 which i did submit right away.

Rephrasing the same question asked before!

I received an email from OTT Pilot - Immigration yesterday (Aug 14) to get my medical exam done (with medical instruction forms). I am on Post grad work permit in Canada, expiring in Dec 2012. I am planning to get medical done this week and hope that i can get my PR before Dec 2012.
My question is, what is the current timeline on results (Immigration office asking for submitting passport & PR fee) after getting your medical done & assuming that my DMP sending results in two weeks to OTT ottawa pilot.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Also, should i be thinking about getting an LMO(have a permanent job with employer willing to file LMO) as i am close to my work permit expiration date.

If i am not getting a positive LMO to extend my workpermit, i would surely apply for CEC (but only worry is my IELTS would be expired, have to write it again, but no problems, another challenge, i am ready)

Hey Ram, What makes you suspect that you may (or may not) receive a +ve LMO? In my opinion, You already got enough 'Canadian Exp' and expert in the area of your job which cannot be replaced - i don't see any point to turn down your LMO application.

Good news for you is 'You have got your medical request'!So rest all should fall in its place.
Going by the past forum conversations and people sharing their timeline, I guess it should take minimum 4 weeks for the CIC to initiate the next steps(PPR, etc..) after they receive the medical report from your DMP. Your eCAS would reflect something like 'Medicals received'.
Request the DMP if he can give you the tracking number he sends to CIC.
Having said that, it would be good for you if you can get a LMO and work permit which can definitely be helpful till you receive a PR!

I do not suspect anything, but just read from the forum, where people got negative.

Secondly, its depends on the officer who is looking into your file.

Also i am little worried if the officer questions about, "in last 2 years, what efforts has been taken to train a canadian citizen or a PR for my job?"

Hi to all members
I had just sign up but I am reading or following canadavisa.com for many months every topic regarding fsw especially when the application is been submitted in buffalo. What make me sign up is every one of us is watching carefully for each other time lime and hoping to see who is close to our time and have a hint for our application. But we have not consider what skilled we are in too. I can’t stop thinking last feb.2012 I am watching carefully the number of different skilled that being approve, and I notice every time it reach 500 in every trade they mark it in cic as full, two or a month after that table cannot be found in the cic and been replace by the news buffalo will not process the application. And in addition to that my skill trade number was just in 300something. And probably that’s one factor to look at too since they change some of the NOC.

And by the way in our company we are all approximately 50 to 60 under work permit I am the only skilled worker and the rest are semi skilled and all of them got their pr and family here. I recall when our company invited two consulate personnel to tell us how processing will be. They mention that it will be a huge factor of the employer “and they explain how” (is not only to insure that you will have a job but they will play as the reference as who you really are maybe you didn’t do any wrong by law but who are you as a person are you the type of hard headed or short fuse things like that).

Thanks com2canada for this valuable info. Does anyone know if these changes are retroactive, meaning they would apply to all applicants, even those like us who applied a year or two ago? OR are these changes for new applicants only?

Thanks,
Cam

Hi glowingheart:

I know that is what was done normally, but in a speech minister kenney gave earlier this year, he said it was his intention to make the new rules "retroactive," meaning they would apply to all of us as well. The reason he wants to do that is to be able to reject many more applications which cic believes are not good for canada.

Hi Stealth,

I have almost the same timeline as you but I have not got MR.

Would you tell me if your ecase shows the line "your file has been transferred to Ottawa"? Thanks.
