I see all these FSW2 applicants which applied after me (June 2011) getting med request and other stuff while FSW1 nothing! Not very fair....

The selective style of CIC in processing PR applications can be summarized as follow-- All animals are equal but some are equal than others.

Are you sure they accept upfront medicals? I was told that there is a number in medical request forms that you have to wait for it. Please share your experience. Thanks.

I am also with same officer . I sent updated documents on 19th aug 2013. Now it's showing (we started processing your aplication on 19/08/2013).i did upfront medical on July 2012.
Waiting for ppr soon by the grace of god.

I could file by my own . Now I always give suggestion to everyone
Don't go for lawyer try to file by own , because they do not no any thing

I absolutely agree with you. From what I have read on the various threads, having a lawyer slows down the process. If you don't have any immigration problems don't hire a lawyer, you will just be throwing money away. You can represent yourself much better than a lawyer can represent you when applying for PR.

Agreed !!.. Same as my Situation, I have send my documents updated on July 12th, through my lawyer till now no response from CIC ottawa.. So I have gone directly with CIC Ottawa with the proof of document and they did respond promptly. but I am still waiting for medicals

The visa issue and expiry dates are mentioned on the visa stamp on the passport.

Today morning I got reply from CPP Ottawa

"Your application is in queue to be reviewed by an officer in order to make a final decision, should they require more information in order to finalize the decision, they will be in contact with you."

Not sure!! I have send my documents to them July 12th .. Every one in my timelines got MR & PPR as well .

But I am still waiting for MR .. not sure why
