Buffalo application returned by the time Alberta nomination deadline is passed

I can't believe my luck today.
I received nomination from Alberta, and the deadline to apply to Buffalo was Dec 1. My application was received by Buffalo on Sep 27. But now today on Dec 2 (one day after deadline), I received my whole application returned to me, saying that I did not send the original approval letter from Alberta.

I could have understand this if Buffalo would have asked me to resend the application with Alberta approval letter. But their letter seems to say that since the deadline has passed, therefore I need to get new approval letter from Alberta with extended date, and only then can I resubmit the application to Buffalo.
Now letter I received at the time of Alberta nomination clearly said that this deadline will not be extended. So if Buffalo insists on getting letter, and Alberta refuses to issue me new letter then my application is effectively rejected.

This is unbelievable to me. How can I lose immigration case just because I made a slight mistake?!

Can anyone comment on it?
Do you think I have a case to sue them if they reject my application this way?

I'm very sorry to hear that...

I just realized that I only sent the photocopy of the approval letter to CIC and my money order was cashed on late November. By the way, my application was received by CIC on Sept 15.

Are they saying that the only document you are missing is the original approval letter?

Did your check or money order get cashed?

Thats really sad.

Don't worry. Google the email id of the person, who issued you the AINP letter.
Write him directly and he/she will solve it at the earliest. Write him directly and don't contact anyone else there.
Attach the scanned copy of your previous letter with it.

Everything will be alright.
