I can't believe my luck today.
I received nomination from Alberta, and the deadline to apply to Buffalo was Dec 1. My application was received by Buffalo on Sep 27. But now today on Dec 2 (one day after deadline), I received my whole application returned to me, saying that I did not send the original approval letter from Alberta.
I could have understand this if Buffalo would have asked me to resend the application with Alberta approval letter. But their letter seems to say that since the deadline has passed, therefore I need to get new approval letter from Alberta with extended date, and only then can I resubmit the application to Buffalo.
Now letter I received at the time of Alberta nomination clearly said that this deadline will not be extended. So if Buffalo insists on getting letter, and Alberta refuses to issue me new letter then my application is effectively rejected.
This is unbelievable to me. How can I lose immigration case just because I made a slight mistake?!
Can anyone comment on it?
Do you think I have a case to sue them if they reject my application this way?
