Hey guys ,
I'm also a pre-sept applicant.I applied in March 2011. My last update from Ottawa was that they are waiting for background verification. There are still a lot of Pre september applicants that I know that are still waiting. The reason that we don't see many posts is because everyone has lost hope. CIC is very unreliable and unfair in processing applications. It's been 27 months that I've applied and from now on I'm gonna assume I didn't apply and continue this stupid life

Hi CIC Victim,

Can you apply for PR under 2 different categories? Or did you withdraw your PNP Buffalo application and re-submitted it under CEC?
I am also Nov 2011 applicant still waiting for my PPR. Please let me know. Thanks.

I'm a pre-Sept 2011 applicant too. Tried to contact the office and address the delay, but seemed nobody gave a sit, until I finally gave up waiting and filed CEC application, which was being said to be treated with much higher priority than PNP. So far did Police 4 times, Med 3 times (one for each stream plus re-med), paid RPRF 2 times (as required), renewed work permit 1 time. This has gone fantastic.
I would have appreciated if this Ministry had been honest and not tried to hide the problem but post the truthful processing time on the website earlier, in which case I could have known it instead of waiting like an idiot and would have filed CEC much earlier and avoided being one of the forgotten buffalos.

If you asked for my opinion I would say don't withdraw your application. May be it will finish by the end of summer. Ask for your GCMS notes....

You should look for 4 key things:

1. Eligibility - Passed or not started
2. Criminiality - In progress/ Not started/Passed
3. Medical - Passed/extended/expired etc.
4. Security - Blank (usually - not sure)

In my opinion, your medical had expired and CPP-O couldn't extend it. So, you should have received medical request by now.

Another key area (usually Page 2 of your GCMS notes) to look for is the assignment of your file. By assignment, I meant that if a Visa officer has been assigned yet.

In any case I would suggest you to email CPP-O and ask about your status again. It wouldn't be a good idea to ask the status of your medical as well.

Good luck

My timeline again:

We received your application for permanent residence on December 10, 2010.

We started processing your application on October 6, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

March 18, 2013 - asked to redo our medical (medicals done march 22)
May 17, 2013 - requested enrollment forms in regards to my daughter's school ( she is over 22 to determine eligibility as dependent).
and still waiting for the finalization of the process. Hopefully they wont ask for more documents..

I have applied June 2010, and have done medical on May 2012, paid RPRF on May 2012, but still waiting. There are also more cases worse than me.
We just hope and can not do anything.

Why are you confusing people? This page is just for Provencal and Quebec applicant but you have applied through Federal Skill Worker. It’s obvious that different categories have different timelines.
