Don't expect anything from CIC. Just forget about PR and plan your life as if you're not going to get it for a couple of years. It is the only way!

Well it would be easy to forget about PR if you are not waiting for a kid. My girlfriend (she is Canadian) is pregnant and her due date is August 2. So, you cannot imagine how much I need the PR at this point to look for a new job. Because at this moment the company where I work is struggling and they put me on minimum wage instead of laid me off. In some way they gave me a hand.

I'm so stressed..... :'( and I cannot do anything

God help you Pal! You probably have to settle with just about any job you can find til you get the PR. I am single and I personally would not want to cause anybody to be born to this unfair country.

Guys, i got an email of OTT today requesting for 2 photographs and proof of payment the right of permanent resident fee and a photocopy of my passport and not the original passports, and also they asked to fill out a bio-data form for me and my family.

is this considered as passport request??????

why are they asking a photocopy of the passport and the original , did anyone got this request lately???
i have no idea why are they asking me to pay the rprf when i paid the total amount back when i applied in june 2011.
i still have copy of the original check that includes the total amount of $2230 which is for processing fee and rprf ( the amount is for a couple with a child)

Any advice is welcome.

Thanks

This looks a like a PPR to me. Are you from VISA exempt country? If you are then consider this to be a PPR.
I am not sure abt the RPRF thing but you can write to them or call the CIC call center.

CONGRATS... I think this should be your PPR. Also, if you read carefully what you typed, then CIC had requested you the proof of payment. They are not asking you to pay again. If I may ask, which country are your from?

Why did they asked PCC again, did you sent just a photocopy of your PCC when you applied for PR?
