hello liwei i sent to the case processing pilot in ottawa... and they stamp in ottawa too

Okay thank you. I asked because I sent the passport to Ottawa as well and just trying to figure out how much longer it will take to get back to me. So did you include a prepaid priority envelope in the package you sent to them?

I'm a January 2011 applicant. Just got a call from CIC, the officer told me that my file has been transferred from Buffalo to Detroit, and then to Ottawa. My medical results has been extended, but my background check has been expired! Whatever that means...My background is not gonna change if they check again!

The officer told me they are trying their best and my file will "most likely" be finalized by the end of December. I'm sure by then some other document will expire.

are you sure you are a January 2011 applicant? not 2012?
which means will be finalized by end of this year(2013)? 8 months ? :o Does background check take that long?

Yes. No idea how long it takes, based on what I've read on the Internet it takes around 4-5 months on average.

I am also an applicant from Dec. 2010 and I am still waiting. I have no idea when I will get the answer from CIC. I know of 3 other persons from Dec. 2010 who are still waiting. It is funny how CIC says the average waiting time at the Visa office in Ottawa is 12 months for QSW skilled workers. They just manipulate criteria to make CIC's performance look good, lol
It is no surprise that Canada is no longer in the top 10 developed countries..

Hi

I sent my papers on February 25 and I'm still waiting. According to the rumors it can take another 3 to 4 months. I hope not but nobody knows.

This wait is killing me!!! Today is the deadline to submit my RPFR. one month passed and still nothing!! It really hurts :( :( :( Anyone in the same boat? Any thoghts?!

Don't expect anything from CIC. Just forget about PR and plan your life as if you're not going to get it for a couple of years. It is the only way!
