It has been 3 weeks now my statute changed to "decision made", is there anyone who tell me what i should expect and when?
I usually like suspense but not really in this case scenario :-\

here's to hoping you get something in your mailbox soon ;D
i wouldnt assume the worst if i were in your situation.

whoever is in charge of your application will check back in a matter of time and email you- i assume they work back and forth between applications

It may take more than 3 years pal. I started the process in Mar. 2010 and I am still in limbo! Canada has always had the problem of holding onto its immigrants. A lot of them leave Canada after they get the Canadian citizenship. The new conservative government is determined to change this trend.
What blows my mind is that the immigration minister claims he has made immigration to Canada faster.

no buddy. you need to authorize a person living in Canada to do it for you. There are some online websites that offer this service, too. but you must pay for it. I think around 40 dollars.
cheers

Hi Friends,

Is this compulsory for husband and wife to land together once they get PR ?

Not sure if CIC allows landing of husband and wife separately.

Hoping someone in this forum must have faced similar situation...

You can land separately, if you are in Canada and your spouse back home they can come alone

Till now I have filed 3 applications.

PNP - AINP
Filed To: Buffalo, then transferred to CPP-O
Application Filed: Apr, 2011
AOR: Sep, 2011
Medical Exam: Oct, 2011
Medical Exam Redone: Feb, 2013
PPR: No Response

After 15 months worthless waiting, feeling distrustful, discouraged, frustrated, and finally despaired, I filed my second application:

CEC
Filed To: CIO, then transferred to CPP-O
Application Filed: Aug, 2012
AOR: Sep, 2012
Medical Exam: No Response
PPR: No Response

This whole thing has made me realize, the best two three years in my life can be this easily wasted by an unjust government ministry, what else couldn't happen? I should feel lucky and grateful that I just got hit by a life-screwing delay but not a life-taking cancer. And I started to loosen my atheism belief and tried to figure out whether this Jesus thing, which is so popular in Canada, is true or not. Thinking even if I get my PPR tomorrow this coming PR status will last no more than 50 years, until I die, and then the PR feels to me just like a longer version of Temporary Resident Permit.

The third application I filed was the PR to heaven. It wasn't a smooth process either, and I have so much doubts, uncertainty and disbelief. God acts unresponsively just like a CIC official, no matter how much effort I put on Bible reading, watching testimonies and science researches on Youtube, opening my heart to listen and pray, the Holy Spirit has never come to me and I have never felt that ultimate peace and joy as described by many Christians around me.

PRAU (Permanent Residence for Afterlife Use)
Filed To: Jesus Christ
Application Filed: Jan, 2012
AOR: No Response
PPR: No Response

Conclusion:
There's no such PRs that comes easy. No matter how painful the process is, never give up.

Priority:
If God does exist and giving up my Canadian PR is part of his plan for me, I will just do and go back to my home country. Until I know if there is a God and what his plan is, I will keep working hard for all my 3 applications.

I have been waiting for more than three years (including the CSQ) to get the PR. This headache is caused by the conservative minister who does not care about us. but we have to respect the choice of Canadian people. There is chaos at CIC and things are getting out of their hands. They had to deal with huge budget cuts so CIC fired many of its employees so no officer worked on our files. It is a matter time for the PR to come. The best way to deal with this is talking to your MP that is if he is not from the conservative party.
cheers,

Come on guys, say something. It's April, 2013. If you don't have anything else, let's celebrate my CIC anniversary on April 10, 2013! ;D
