BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

I have a friend too received an email this morning from ottawa that she needs to do her medical again. She applied May 2011, ECAS status Apllication Received. Im thinking if all applicants didnt receive PPR yet will do medical again...

Is she married ? Did she have a child recently?

yes she's married monday evening she received email from ottawa asking to do medical again for her 2 dependents she thought her medical was extended but this morning she got email again from ottawa that her medical is expired and must re do her medical again.

Me im married monday evening I received email from Manila philippines VO asking to do medical again for my 2 dependents but my application is in Ottawa. For now I havent receive any email that I have to do my medical again, I am thinking that our application went to inprocess last year Nov. 2012. I've done my medical Nov. 2011 so im not sure yet if I have to do medical again I havent receive any email yet.

From this recent trend it, is likely that dependent and Spouses outside are likely to do medicals again. Have u travelled outside since doing ur medicals last nov?

nope i havent travelled since i did my medical nov. 2011 because i am hoping to get my PR soon. I am not sure if they will request me to do medical again. I did my medical Nov. 17, 2011 my application went to inprocess Nov. 16 i am hoping they would consider that. My 2 dependants had their medical sometime Oct. 2011. I dont know why it took so long and repeat medicals again. So frustrating

This is got to be the most retarted and ineffective thing i have had to deal with all my life. All along, they will send out emails to these people telling them nothing is required of them. Am sure most people would have completed these medicals again since they expired.

Well, this is my personal opinion I think CPP-O is going to ask all female principal applicants who got married or had kids during the application process to do a re-medical............I hope you get a PPR directly and there are no delays for you .

Medical extensions are normally given to those whose marital status and family structure has not changed during the application process. Single male applicants will most likely get medical extensions.

I am so concerned at the time it might take them to review such files again once medicals are re-done. Thats my biggest concern as they might just send the file back on queue again. You know what i mean right

But we had our medical done since October 2011 for my 2 dependents and mine Nov. 2011. My marital status didnt change since my application process. I dont know why are they doing this.

Before I am thinking that if you did not travel from the time you do the medical you will not re do medicals, but now they ask my friend which is she did not travelled from the time she did her medical last Nov. 2011. But her status is application receiced till now, what about you? what is your status in ECAS?

I just got an email for immigration. They asked me to update the police certificate and the letter of employment. Also, I need to go for medical exams.... again

Yes they are working on them. But, you know the worrying part of this to me? Now u have to do medicals and police clearance again. Which is nothing compared to the fact that they will need to contact your home country again to clarify that police certificate and probably will put the files back on the queue and only God knows what time it will take to get it reviewed again after u submit all these.

I can't believe that Ottawa is asking people to do their medicals again! I hope this is not a delay tactic. If it is, I have had enough. My life has been turned upside down by this waiting, not able to take important life decisions, separated from my husband who is in the US due to visa situation! I will have to leave Canada by March 30th, leaving my PhD unfinished I am usually a calm, take-it-easy kind of person, but this is too much!

Sorry for this, but I needed to talk it out.

I asked my MP(calgary) on Tuesday to inquire about my case from CPP-Ottawa.

He replied me today saying that file is in que for final review. Medical has been extended for me and for my wife in January 2013....background checks are complete now.... CPP-ottawa said if Applicant dont get PR in next 3 months then contact us again..........

It looks like, they kept busy in january extending our medicals and now hopefullly they start reviewing files

Good news for u. Just a quick question. Have u travelled out of canada since ur medicals were done? and also, is ur wife here in canada with u?
