What does your GCMS notes show? Is the Criminality and security done?
On page 2 of my notes security and criminality assessments are marked as "Not Started". On page 1, app status reason is In Progress and Group name is PR- Final review. How about you?

Hi,

As of Nov 27,2012 the newer candidates would be issued Confirmation of Permanent Residence(COPR) from Ottawa. So my guess is from early 2013 CPP-O is going to issue COPRs as well. Future PR applicants will be instructed to send their PPs to CPP-O and not to other VOs in US to get COPR. Please read the bulletin.

Up till now we haven't seen anyone who have received PPR to send their documents to CPP-O for COPR.

If your file has been transferred to Detroit then CPP-O will instruct you to send your PP to Detroit in ur PPR.
There are 2 ways to get ur (COPR) from Detroit either mail them or go to Detroit personally if u have
US visit VISA. If you decide to go to Detroit make sure that you go on the right day because as far as
I know Detroit only work 2 days. This is a same day service so you would be issued COPR immediately from Detroit.
When you re-enter Canada you will show your COPR to the border services and you will land as a PR.
Check CIC for more information for timings of Detroit.

If you choose the mailing option. Then it will take anywhere between 3 - 8 weeks to receive your PP with COPR
stamped. Then you can go to the border and land as a PR.

I hope this information helps.

Ciao!!!

Thank you very much for your reply! Very helpful

@na1234:

I applied for the GCMS notes on Dec 1st and just got it back last Monday.

Cheers!

Pls pardon the duplication if any.

Can someone suggest the best site to apply the GCMS notes. Is it the CAIPS site that opens up in google or are there multiple vendors/agents? I just dont want to share the private info with wrong folks..

KY2CA:
If you are in Canada, just go to the CIC website and download the form "Access to information and personal information request". Fill the form, print, sign, scan it and e-mail it on the given address mentioned in the form. You will receive it within 30 days.

Questing regarding Landing place:

Hello guys,

one of my friend got QSW PR visa stamped on passport from Montreal. Now she is staying at Ontario and planning for landing. As she is the QSW, is it mandatory for her to land from Montreal? If she land from Ottawa will it create any problem during landing?

I suspect it is a potential for serious problems. I think she should land in Quebec and give a Quebec address for her residence. This is serious matter.
