It is a matter of luck!

I dont see someone who has gotten PPR yet once they went in process at ottawa. I know there was another applicant who went in process this week. I think it shouldnt be long though..

I heard they were closed from Christmas till first week of new year then how they are sending ppr's, dont know, whatever

Hi everyone, Happy Holidays and congrats to mr. Sharuu and others who recently received their PR!

My ecas recently went to "In Process" in Dec 6th. I am just wondering if this is an indication that my case will finally get a PPR? I saw another member in this forum who had an "in process" status for more than 3 months while some had it before the transfer to CPP-Ottawa happened.

I would appreciate it if anyone could shed some light on this "In Process" status on ecas.

Thanks in advance and good luck everyone :)

My file went "in process" since June 2012 and I havent received any PPR. My friend who applied nearly 2 months after me went "in process" in August 2012 and he got his PPR this month. We both belong to same nationality so I believe it is matter of luck.

I cannot see your timeline but if you have been waiting like 15-20 months then I guess u shud expect to hear from them soon. Somebody looked at your file recently. Wishing you best of luck for the future.

Well in Ontario the official holidays are (25 & 26th) Dec and 1st Jan so they are working. I am not able to find any indication
on CIC website that the 1st week of Jan would be off for CPP-O. But I do agree that things would be slow in the 1st week of JAN.

Here I am at boundary between 2012 and 2013
No PR even with all the optimism and willful thinking
I can't blame it on you, 2012, rather on CIC.

Fare thee well 2012 the year of hopes
For I know nothing can happen with 9 hours left for you
But tell your younger brother, 2013, to come with goodies
The patience and waiting is frustrating.

For all who were favored this year, Congratulations
Especially pre-Sept 2011 applicants
It was not easy, such a confusing wait
But alas!, you guys were lucky to make it this year.

For all other hopefuls like me
Lets keep hoping even with pains
Knowing that nothing last for ever
See you guys on the other page of the calender!!

Did you enclose a prepaid canada post envelope? If you did, you should have noted down the tracking number. I was using that number to track my envelope.

Hi Sharuu
Could you please tell me when your application changed to in process in ECAS?
Happy New Year!

My application went to In process in August 2011 and I am still waiting till now, they are very unpredictable.

Thanks.. I think in most cases when eligibility is passed ecas goes to in process. I do think its a good sign and it shouldnt be much longer :)

May 2012.. but thats when they sent my file to Ottawa. Its not the same as in process in ottawa.

I got visa stamp on my passport, I am planning to land in Canada in February. I am leaving in USA
Can I go to my home country, after 10 days of my landing date in Canada?
