Did they tell your daughter the reason for refusal? and how old is your daughter?

I think it's because the daughter cannot prove that she is going to leave Canada before her visitor visa expires. This is a common excuse not to give visas to third world people. I think she has to sponsor her daughter after she gets her own PR.

I have read such problems before. I am very curious to know how one could arrive at such a situation. Can't one bring his kid to Canada?

Applying for a TRV, especially from Asia, one should consider to convince the officer that he/she will leave Canada.
And that they have a very strong tie with their home country (here China).

Since her parents are already in Canada, if she is single, she can not get it through unless she says I have a very good job, and I want to live in China. Or you have a significant source of money in China that makes you go back after the visit.

Being Honets, that is very difficult. unless you get a lawyer in this case. usually having been refused for 3 times, makes all calculations diffficult, unless significant change is presented in her file.

One possible way is to say the officer that you really need to see parents and they can not leave Canada.

All story is crazy I know.
Sorry friend,
not a fair world really.

Ok. But why would one leave his/her kid(s) behind? Is it also not allowed? It is incredible to fathom.

Yes it's weird. The mailing address is detailed but home address is just the city name.

Check in a few days and both will be same. I dont think it shall be long before you get back the passports. Hopefully you should officially be the PR soon :)

Thank you Sharuu :) Have you scheduled the landing stuff?

No, not yet. I need to setup an appointment and do INLAND as the closest border from here is 6 hours drive one way. That long of a drive is too much and in this weather and road conditions, I dont think its a good idea. Hopefully, I can land sometime in January.

I told you were worrying for nothing.. but with passports one tends to be a bit more careful. When I sent mine, I was checking the canadapost website 20 times a day to see if the tracker went live...

Haha, but I'm still not sure if they will ever use my return envelope. The tracking number is not in the system yet. Maybe they just sent it via regular mail.
