Hi Folks,

I would like to get some expert advice from u all. I have applied for the Canadian PR in Fed Skill Cat on Oct 2010. My application status has been the same ever since. I have recently completed my medical formality on Aug 1st and have confirmed with the doc twice for mailing the documents asap. Yet the online application status shows and displays the same.

Where do i go from here?

Regards

Get GCMS notes asap.....refer pg 16 of this forum. E-Cas online status is not updated sometimes.

The online status doesn't reflect the most updated status. For me, It had been showing "Application received" the whole time till a week before I received the passport request.

How do you get the COPR??

When you get the email for PPR and you send them your passports, they will send back stamped visa along with COPR.

anyone know when the police certificate expires.. ours must be expired by now and they havent asked for new ones. Should we just go ahead and get the new ones or wait for the request.. Im afraid if we wait it will prolong this even more.. late january til now is plenty long ehough.. we just want this over.

I really dont understand why applicants who filed a few months after us are getting PPR and also from LA office. ???
And on the otherhand appicants from middle of 2011 are still waiting..
BTW- are they actually in LA bcuz i read on other forums that they stay in Ottawa until the very very end.. wondering if thats true :-\

ANSWERS.. WE WANT ANSWERS!!! >:(

The moment you sent the PCC they must not be older than 3 months...they'll be fine, and they won't ask for new ones. The expiring issue applies only to the Med's. Unfortunately.

The other questions i can answer,...unfortunately..... :(

I wonder if it will be decision made next or you just wont be able to access the ECAS anymore!

I thought Ecas will available "forever"...and it just shows "Landing Complete" or similar....? Later for Citizenship maybe? My UCI will stay the same, so i could log in at any time...even if the File number changes for the Citizienship application...

we'll see...

In the past, once you land the applicants werent able to acess their ECAS. It might have changed but we shall surely see once you come back from partying after landing ;D

I think it depends on so many thing.....You may be asked but it may not necessarily be it has expired.

I know a friend who submitted PCC when he first filed his PNP nominee application together with new PCC .... But 3 months ago, they asked him another original PCC ........

Best of luck...

It depends on the Visa Officer. They might want to see every document valid and it usually is in the case where the timeline is pretty long. It takes most applications more than a year, in 2011 applicants cases more than 15 months atleast. Obviously, everyone's PCC has expired and it doesnt make sense asking for another PCC! However, if someone's case goes beyond 2 years it might come to a point where another PCC might be required.

grrr, 9 months so far is quite enough for me! 1 year, 15 months, 2 years?? Dang ???

just wondering why so long for some and so short for others.. seems so unfair to keep people who are married and love each other apart. ***Maybe if it was a prerequisite to only hire visa officers who have been through this ordeal it would then move at more than a snail pace. I mean, Im glad for the people who have applied in march or so and already have their PPR's and some who have landed BUT why not me? or anyone else for that matter. sheesh!

i say lets just let everyone through and start over with the future applicants. yeah! thats what I propose!!! :P
