i think its the lack of system which is causing all the dilemma here.....its all completely random after AOR. but then again this is how immigration works...no two applications are same.

also we need to keep in mind that many applicants are not on this forum so we cant say we received just one PPR today....maybe overall it was 500+ ...

i wish there was some better mechanism on ECAS to keep us updated and reduce the distress...other than that, u have to play with CIC's rules. fair or not, we have no choice....

Yes, I guess we have to wait :). We have no choice :).

That is what I was saying also... We can only wait. We can stress ourselves to say why are 2012 applicants getting PPR, why arent we the priority! Its just going to affect us only, keep calm and it will all be worth it in the end.

I agree :). Sometimes become exhausted with this waiting game :(. I wish the ECAS would be more updated. Anyway thanks for your post.

Sharuu our medicals are expired...

so lets say (feels good to assume at least), its our turn for PPR. then we will have even more delay because the visa officer has to check with medical board if he can extend the medicals or issue a new medical form....do you agree?

I agree.. but atleast there has to be some progress. Thats why I think getting GCMS after October is a good option..

I just wish patience is my forte.
Please what is the probability of my spouse get TRV while PR is 'cooling off' in Ottawa?
Can immigration lawyers help in such a case?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but as per the forums most of the TRV cases are rejected.
When is ur work permit ending, solid invitation letter, funds in back account, nature of spouse's job,
property to her name, kids etc...Well u have to prove it to VO that how spouse has strong ties to her
country and she will return.

I would say there is no harm in applying. Just make sure your spouse provides enough evidence to convince the VO that he/she will return after the visit.

Well. Before closure of Buffalo VO, it wa smuch easier.
Since they are not accepting any new file, I dont know any new method, and accroding to my information from friends, there is not a big chance in such cases. wait is the only way.

It is very difficult to deal with the isssue. I personally waited for like 6 months to have my spouse here in Canada, and applied for the PR later. but you see, it did not work very well in my case since buffalo was shut down.

But there are still few shortcuts. one is a study permit if applicable. if you can get her/him a study permit, then there would be a chance to have them here in canada earlier. but that is not the case for most people.

In regard to the GCMS Notes and due date, my due date first was sept 1st 2012, that was when it was set to 1 year from AOR was issued. Once my file got transferred, I got another GCMS and found out that my due date was changed to July 1st 2012. So, my file hasnt been viewed since then and the due date has passed by 3 months.

Medical has expired, AOR also was issued more than a year ago!

I know someone who got file transferred in May, got medicals extended for 3 months and got PPR in August! So, given that we will need medical extension I hope it doesnt increase our timelines.

One thing that I have learnt from this process - doing medicals earlier than requested doesnt help in getting your case finalised!

according to the operational bulletin, they extend the results upto 1 year provided they request the extension during 3 months...so lets say in 15 months, if still VO doesnt judge case ready for PPR, then forget the extension....otherwise, they can extend till one whole year!!

Its safe to say most 2011 applicants will have their medicals expired at one time, I find it hard to believe they will not extend the medicals for these applicants. It creates more work and delay for them and it doesnt sound reasonable. Inland Applicants have more leeway too as it gets extended. I dont think you should be worried about medical expiry at this point. If you havent already, try getting GCMS in October to see if any movement has been in your case?
