I hope so, my friend. My ecas isn't even in process yet! I just received my GCMS and it's exactly the same, except for the lines where it says that I requested for my GCMS notes. But staying positive for all of us...

When was it printed? It has been 18 months for me and still trying to stay positive :) Its taking 5-6 months since AOR for 2012 applicants, so give it a month or so and you should be there!

Next few weeks if we notice any changes on ECAS status that will indicate Ottawa is working on our file, else we need to apply for GCMS notes (haven't got any feedback from MP office ;D). I will ask for another GCMS note on September 17 . That's how I can comfort myself at this stage. Though I think for July transfer cases the PPR month should be OCT/NOV.

I actually will be surprised if a July 7th transfer gets PPR in September. I think once your file goes in process it should be another 2 months. I hope we get it in 2012 itself ;D

Damn Parti Quebec won.
I hope it does not affect the QSW
PR applicants. Definitely Quebec is
not a place to live anymore.

@ sharuu
@ lepatissier07

I am temporary worker in quebec , and got the CSQ under PEQ
my work permit is valid till january 2013

I heard that to do landing in canada under the csq I should have the status valid ( the same under which I applied to the CSQ)
so without work permit valid I could not do the landing >>>>> is that true or what

I am a Nov 2011 applicatant under csq ( QSW) , and medicals were done in May, and got status in process in June 2012
and after that they asked me to send RCMP clearance in June also

Thanks in advance

Hi Guys,
i am on work permit in Canada.
i guess most of the guys here waiting for PPR after meds.

My initial processing was very quick and after medical its depressing.

application filed PNP: Jan 2012 first week
Application approved Feb 2012
Application filed in Federal: March 2012
Medical request received: April 2012
Medical done: May 2012 first week
Medical sent: 22 May
Waiting for PPR >:(

it looks like all of the applicants who are stuck in ottawa has to go through medical reassessment as everyones medicals are expiring this month or next month and there is no sign of ppr from ottawa more waiting, i m just sick of this waiting game and watching people getting approved in 6 months like they are getting VIP treatment.

I do not understand why you are depressed? you should be happy to that your file is processed very fast.
look at other guys who applied in 2010 and got no updates.

PNP are given always priority...I guess yours will be done pretty soon...

Good luck

Hey Sharuu,

Glad to see you are still keeping faith. You're an inspiration dude. My ECAS only went into IN PROCESS the day I received my PPR. It may be different in Seattle but just throwing it out there.

So guys
we have seen January 2012 applicants getting PPR till now
is there any Feb 2012 or March 2012 applicant got PPR from ottawa??

Thanks

@ csqmjj

You can extend your work permit at the border, with your CSQ! :)

You need: Original (!) Job offer from your current employer with start/end date, salary etc.
Photocopy of your CSQ
Copy of Receipt that you have paid the PEQ Fees, and the AOR letter from that, just in case
150$ Cash ! (Border "Bernard Lacolle", 30min from Montreal)

That's the way how I got my permit extended. This Law is new.
