No, they dont do eligibility verification again they look at the documents to make sure they are in order and thats it. They do not verify anything as this has already been done.

@Sharuu
Njce one!!!...what is your ECAS saying?

Yup thats true your eligibility is done by Province but that was part of PNP application and CIC doe it too regardless. Here is the flow of activities for inland applicants:

1. Eligibility (very straightforward process for PNP applicants but they don't skip the step, they still go through your documents depending on VO)

2. If 1 passed, Criminality check started ("File Received" status at this stage)
2.1 Provided police clearance certificate verification
2.2 local police check
2.3 RCMP screening.

3. If 2. passed they sent Medical Request.

4. if 3. passed they change the status of file as "In Process" and "Medical results received with in it.

hope it helps

For me, it was in reverse. According to my GMCS ( both of them ), my medical was passed. Criminality was in process. Eligibility hadn't started.

Today, my ECAS status finally updated to In Process :

We received your application for permanent residence on March 28, 2011.

We started processing your application on August 20, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

Did you guys sent it to Detroit directly or through Windsor? I wonder what will be the validity of your PR Visa as your medicals are expiring soon. It will help others as well, I believe they would have extended it but I guess we have to wait and see.

Hi.Please tell us how long did your MP take to look into your file?

I got this update from my MP about 1 month after I submitted my request to him.

Are you getting your GCMS Notes lately? If so, try looking through the NOTES section! It should tell you more why it went to in process.

I have already gotten them twice. Don't really want to get them the third time.

I sure hope not we have 12 months more to wait since our files got transferred. Most of us here have crossed the 15 month wait period, I believe our checks should have been completed by now so do not see the point of 12 months wait period. What exactly did your MP tell you about your case?
Well the MP told me that my file was received by Ottawa on July 7th and Ottawa's processing time is 12 months.

The 12 months should be for applicants who directly had applied to ottawa, aor checks all these need to be initiriated for these applicants, thus, the 12 months. We are transferred applicants shouldnt take much longer actually.

Hey guys,
Here’s my timeline again (by the way how do you put your timeline to the left next to your picture? Sorry i’m a newbie here)
Application received: Feb 2011
AOR received: Sept 2011
Medical request: Sept 2011
Medical Done: Sept 2011
In process: Feb 2012
Interview waived and requested PPR payment: Mar 2012

I have a couple of comments/questions for the more experienced members.
1- I think Ottawa uses AOR rather than “application received date on e-cas” when they are processing the documents. So I believe that Aug/Sept AOR’s should be hearing something soon. Do you guys agree? (because i noticed that feb, march, april, even may 2011 applicants all have very similar AOR’s – Aug/Sep 2011)
2- Do you guys know if it’s still possible to do a same day visa stamping in Detroit?
3- Does it harm/delay your process in any way if you apply for a second GCMS? Also does it delay if you send lots of emails/requests asking about status?

I believe eligibility for PNP applicants are different from other classes, for PNP applicants eligibility means verifying PNP certificate and they might get it verified from nominating province..

WOW thats good to know, that means they do not follow any particular flow... it depends really on VO!!!
