No. I am thinking about updating my employment status. Could I assume that my case was tranferred to Ottawa after Buffalo was closed?

I dont know, GCMS will tell you for sure

our application is now in 14 months,my husband who happens to be in canada went to someone who could help him get info regarding our application.. he then sent an email to OTTpilot-immigration, fortunately after 2 days he got a reply..
Dear Madam / Sir,

This is in response to your email (see below).

Your application is in process. No further action is required by you at this time.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum..

our ecas shows application received and medical results received.. upon receiving reply from the ottpilot-immigration, does it mean something good? the ecas doesn't show "IN-PROCESS" note but it was confirmed by the replied email.. i hope we can hear something good soon... :)

One of my friend got PPR from Ottawa, he applied in Nov 2011

Applicants who applied after August, most of them have had their files stayed at Ottawa. Its the applicants whose files were at Buffalo and got transferred after Buffalo closed that are kind of stuck in this queue. We see post-august applicants getting PPR, even feb 2012 applicants have gotten PPR. Its just 2011 Applicants who arent receiving anything!!

I think they will start processing the files after august 31, 2012. When buffalo closure came in effect it said it would take three months to transfer the files. Most likely they are not liking this extra workload in summer and stick to their routine cases. Once we see the first PPR I am convinced it will be a roller coaster ride for all the pre august 2011 applicants :).

In the email, it said 2 months but probably it is 3 months. I think most of the 2011 applicants will have their processing times go over 15 months!!

No Problem.. You can get GCMS Notes to have an idea about your case as well. Much more detailed than ECAS!

my guess is that some VO in Ottawa are working on 2011 applicatins, exclusively; and some or most, maybe, are working on 2012 applications. Some are fcousing on CEC only. This is why we are seeing both 2011 and 2012 applicants are getting PPRs.

That is what it seems to be the case.. I just want 2011 applicants to start getting PPR! At this point, its going to be more of a relief than happiness!

March 2011 Applicant just got PPR! File got transferred on May 8th...

As I said before guys, it seems 3 months since your file has been transferred. Hopefully, in October we shall start hearing about our cases!

Yea, I agree.
When I first got the AOR, i was overjoy, by the end of 2011, i thought I would become the permanent resident pretty soon. When 2012 started, I thought it shouldnt take this long. Later on, I got worried and thought they lost my application. After 15 months had passed, I just hoped this could come to an end. Now , it has been 17 months, whenever it comes across my mind, I just tell myself to take it easy and try not to let it bothers me. I just hope this will be all done by the end of 2012...

I actually thought Jan 2012, thats when I should have everything settled! A year was the norm around that and people were getting PPR within a year. With this year coming to a close, I do hope we receive something before 2012 closes.
