Thanks. I paid $5 online but I am just not sure about how to fill the form IMM5563. Should I select 'Privacy Act' in addition to 'Access to Information Act' or only select 'Access to Information Act' is fine? I am worried about making mistakes...

3. For Electronic files, I selected 'Status of an application' and 'Permanent residence' and put in 'File number' twice. Not sure about this...

4. For the location, I put 'Buffalo, USA' but not sure about it...

1. Privacy act is free but Access to Information Act makes you pay $5, that is the only difference.

2. Unless you want copies of your original files, then select it. I wouldnt recommend it.

3. Electronic File - Permanent Residence.

4. For this you can put Buffalo, if you dont know the current location.

Its about time that happens. However, I dont expect anything before October. My file got transferred to Ottawa in July, so 3 months is a good timeframe to expect anything from them. I hope I get it within 2012...

Bad luck with life. I broke up with bf this year and my company may be shut down soon. Even PR application was stuck there for more than one year. A really unlucky year.

I hope things work out for you this year and it ends well ...
