Hey Buddy..Congrats.. you said you don't need to send your original passport.. then how do they stamp the visa on it? I am confused.. Are you already in Canada?

In the instruction, part 3 , they said :

3. Passport(s)

If you are a citizen of a country that is required to obtain a visa to visit Canada, you are required to submit your original passport and the original passport of any accompanying family member. If you are a citizen from a country that is exempted to obtain a visa to visit Canada under Regulation 190 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, you are only required to send a copy of your passport and of the passport of any accompanying family member.

The latter part apply to me I dont need the entry visa to visit canada.

Thank you very much for all your information. My file got transferred on 7th July. Under Due dates, it is shown as 2012/08/30. So does it mean, I should be hearing from them soon after 30th August?

It depends... VO from which office put it over there. 2 months from the file got transferred is when he should review your file and give you a new due date, you should go by that date.

Thank you ! Yes I did. I did it twice. In my last GCMS notes I got at the end of May, there was no Group name, no notes (it is blanked), status are as follow:
Eligibiliy: not started
Security: not started
Criminality: in progress
Medical: passed

So, your medicals have already expired? When your get our COPR can you please let us know what is the validity for landing?

You recently contacted MP, I wonder if that played a part. It seems they have started working on feb-march applicants.. 1 year from your AOR is when you got PPR. I hope I hear something soon as well.

I just realized your file got transferred on July 7th. That gives me confidence! Most of us got transferred the same date!
