Click Profile and then click forum profile information - there you can enter your timeline. Its easier to see a timeline as its going to be there permanently.

From the notes, it seems an officer has yet to review your file. You should wait for the IN PROCESS status on your ECAS. I dont know if Buffalo applicants would get priority or not, but fingers crossed hopefully you should hear something soon!

They were printed off June 20th. My timeline:

submitted to CIO on Feb 28th, 2012
received AOR/MR from CPP-Ottawa April 25th
file never went to Buffalo
meds done Apr 28th

Sharru.. for most of the applicants after December'2011 file never went to Buffalo...so cvd222 will never have to think on the terms of transit.. for me i submitted on 5th jan after medicals in feb nothing happening...i ordered fr notes in march as i was moving out of canada...no updates nothing started (criminality,security, etc|) just medicals passed...and Primary Office - Ottawa...the reason they say your file is in Buffalo is because end of the process your visa will be issued from a office outside canada....since buffalo closed we might be sent to other office at the later stage once the file is finalised or a decision is made..sorry to say this cvd222...i can understand your enthusiasm...but we are looking months ahead for now...we might not hear anything from CPP for atleast 2-3months now..with Buffalo files arriving slowly to CPP the prefernece will go to them (most of 2011 applicants) so hold on patience is the key we might see some progress by mid of october...you and me have atleast 2months time difference...so we will be reaching the final stages pretty much with week or two difference..possibility you get PR before me is also there...so we never know whats their modus of operandi!

Nope.. we arent 2 months apart buddy. Look at my timeline I am March 2011 applicant not 2012. So, I hold my composure and answer everyone's questions, but look from my perspective I see people getting PPR whom I have helped, I see people getting PPR who applied 10 months after me, people getting PPR who applied after I got AOR!!! So, I have waited nearly 17 months and its still going! But, I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel so I just try to help others.

Regarding the timeline, for now Detroit will be stamping our visas, if your file never got transferred your visa office should never say Buffalo. I think September is the time when we should start hearing some news, until then just relax.

I think you are exactly right. The files are being processed differently now. They are trying to clear the back log from 2011. I think there are bunch of people from April/May/June 2011 still waiting for PPR.. I think the files are now being processed based on the date it reached Buffalo..

We cant say anything as we dont know anything? How do we know how they are processing it, as no one is yet to get PPR from Ottawa. In the CEC, 2012 applicants are getting PPR, so how are they giving preference to 2011 applicants? I think 2011 applicants should be given preference, as I believe most applicants in this forum have exceeded 15 months here!!

Yesterday I have sent an e-mail to ATIP-AIPRP ‎[ATIP-AIPRP @ cic.gc.ca]‎ to know when my GCMS notes are due. Haven't heard anything from them yet. I have filed the application on July 10, 2012. Could anyone pls share how long it take them to respond.

i was saying to you that ppl who applied to sydney NS ottawa didnt really send the files to buffalo...by March my file was in Ottawa (which mean it didnt really to go Buffalo at first..instead it was kept in Ottawa after initial screening this information was available in CIC website files will be moved across office but that will not be communicated to applicants)

I tend to agree, the reason is this, if you look at the 2011 applicants who got their GCMS Notes, most have an application due date, which is 1 year from AOR, hopefully that is the deadline by when the case is to be finalized. But, then again we should wait and see..

exactly... something in their terms calls BFD - bring forward date... they might act before the medical expiry (which is 1 year) in my case its January 2013...thats y i was saying cvd222 please dont worry... for now 2011 applicants will get things moving by end of month once PPR gets out.. who knows your file might never reach Ottawa (if Buffalo had already taken decision) it will go to Detroit/Seatle for PPR issuance... the process is what we never know with CIC...no two casses are common...thats the beauty of this whole process good luck you should be nearing the light at the end of your tunnel

May I know which countries you guys are from? India? I am an April 2012. Considering the cases of yours, I pretty much look at sometime around May of 2013. It is so frustrating to see others getting their PPR within 3 months these days.
