Which VO has your file? The due date is 28th august 2012, which is 1 year from the time your file was actually created!

1. Privacy Act
2. E-mail to receive the note
3.Electronic files-Status of an application
4. Location---I am guessing my file is in CPP-Ottawa. Should I use "CPP-Ottawa" in location field?

Also could anyone pls share the e-mail format they have used to make the request at ATIP-AIPRP @ cic.gc.ca

I put Buffalo as my office/ location since I didnt know where my file was when I applied for GCMS. As long as you have your Application File number and Client ID, they could be able to pull up your info.

I think these are all the correct options. I would suggest including a copy of your current valid work permit as well.

It's in Seattle now, if you can see from Application status, Buffalo sent my file to Ottawa (or received it) on April 30th, and then Ottawa-HMB transferred my file to Seattle on May 4th because of workload redistribution.

Yes, I think the due date is on August 28th.

I am thinking if I didnt apply for GCMS notes, then they will not update my ECAS to in-process because they needed to pull up my information and they saw that I was over my 15 month period.

I think its a mere coincidence, GCMS Notes does not have anything to do with it. Which date were they published?

Well, it says on my GCMS searched date was on July 6th, and when I checked my ECAS yesterday (July 8th), it says "We started processing your application on July 6th, 2012. So by the time they searched for my application for the GCMS, then they also updated my ECAS. I dont think that was just a coincidence. They pulled up my info and they had updated it at the same time.

Which visa office is indicated under your Application Status: 3? Based on the sequence, this could be the first VO that handled your file, if you have Application Status 1, that is the present VO working on your file.
Sorry, I dont know what "prospective" specifically means, but look at the other application status and see the recent VO, if the status says "open", then your file is in progress.

Buffalo is my Officer so far. My first App status shows "In progress" at Aug/31/2011.

You're welcome.

I think that means your file is currently in transit and it hasnt received by the other office yet. Based on my GCMS notes, my file was in Buffalo first, then it was transferred to Ottawa and finally in Seattle, and those updated dates were probably the time when my file was received by VOs.

Apparently, GCMS can have following beauties and you can fully enjoy, especially in the case of broken communication:

1. know where you are;
2. Cheap, i.e., free or $5;
3. guaranteed to get response in one month subject to legal obligation;
