I wonder what's up with applications that never went to Buffalo -- that is, applications sent to CIO in Nova Scotia and went straight to Ottawa.

I got my notes today. It states at very end of my GCMS nots: subject is a provincial nomineed setined to Manitoba. Letter of Approval. Foss: No Enforcement Foss Id:******** EA VALID UNTIL AUG 2012 PROCESSING FEE PAID. RPRF PENDING. NO APPARENT CONCERNS. DOCS APPEAR RELIABLE. RCMP FINGERPRINTS - NO RECORD - SEP. 2011, PRC PC - NO RECORD - MARCH 2011, WINNIPEG PC - NO RECORD- MARCH 2011. DOCS REQD: NONE FILE TO OFFICER FOR REVIEW.

MY APPLICATION DUE DAY IS SEP 01,2012. BUT MY SECURITY IS NOT STARTED.

I HAVE A QUESTION THAT UNDER INCOMING CATEGORY: INCOMEING 5
STATUS: CANCELLED. DOES ANYONE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM BEFORE?

Was your file created 1st sept 2011? The due date seems to be 1 year from then...

Yes, Around that time. I read the notes. Visa Officer created my file on Aug 31,2011. I got E-mail from them the same day to provide Finger Print.

Yeah.. Sept 1st is the date you should be waiting for then. Hopefully, they finalise your case by then and not give another due date.

Thanks for reply Sharu , I have applied on 8 June, my time line is same as you , application received on 13 April 2011 , medical done on 28 sept 2011 , since then I haven't heard anything from them ,

Thanks for reply Sharu , I have applied on 8 June, my time line is same as you , application received on 13 April 2011 , medical done on 28 sept 2011 , since then I haven't heard anything from them ,

I applied in start of march and meds in mid sept. It has already been more than 16 months for me .. You should be getting your GCMS Notes by 8th July.

Nope.. according to someone they will not be reviewing the files until all files have been transferred which is 31st August.

Well sharuu, i read that post but i doubt on it because of couple of reasons:

1. CIC will not tell anyone specifically when they will start reviewing.
2. CIC cannot tell anyone that they can't send them their GCMS, because GCMS is privacy act and bylaw they have to responde within 30days regardless of work load.

So based on above two points, i doubt Ottawa replied to somebody saying they will not start reviewing applications until August 31st and they cannot generate GCSMS untill then... I got my GCMS on June 12, which fell in between file transfer from Buffalo to Ottawa.. GCMS is not generated by VO officers... its generated by some junior analysts who work in privacy act department of CIC not in immigration section.

Did you apply for another GCMS after May 30? how did you know your files in in transit and will take two months.

My electronic file was tranfered to Ottawa on May 9th and physically it got tranfered on May 16th.
