You talking about me?hmdlsd said:The number is not that bad given that most people here are in their 20th month since they submitted their application.
Be patient. for your cases, it will come faster for sure...
100 % agreedEdmontonbound said:I think it's the criminality check that is eating up all the time. For some, it may take ages to complete! Even for 2012 applicants, people that have applied in Dec/Jan have yet to get their PPR. However, a Chinese guy that applied in June, 2012 got his PPR today.
I don't think it's random. It can't be. It all boils down to criminality check. People that have applied from their native countries are much better off. We in the mean time just keep waiting. :
Isnt your check done also as your eligibility was passed and you went in processsuduko said:100 % agreed
it has to be criminality checks......for Chinese guys, seems like the checks are extremely fast. lucky for them.
Is crminality check is the background check? What is the difference between criminality and security check? Thankssuduko said:100 % agreed

i'd say....criminality is "fast" since you have to provide PCC's...they'll prove there's nothing fishy going on. security takes the most time, since they check your personal history and all the stuff since the last 10 years....that can take time....sharuu said:Isnt your check done also as your eligibility was passed and you went in process
I am reading the same stuff on the internet. Also the question is have they started processing the files. My criminality check is "IN PROGRESS" for one year, isn't that a good amount of time?lepatissier07 said:i'd say....criminality is "fast" since you have to provide PCC's...they'll prove there's nothing fishy going on. security takes the most time, since they check your personal history and all the stuff since the last 10 years....that can take time....
my guess....
The PCC you provided, they check for its reliability too if the documents are correct or not. So, that also takes its time and no wonder they have to send it back to the native country to validate that. Usually that takes time as welllepatissier07 said:i'd say....criminality is "fast" since you have to provide PCC's...they'll prove there's nothing fishy going on. security takes the most time, since they check your personal history and all the stuff since the last 10 years....that can take time....

i think they can ensure the authenticity of the pcc by sending it to the closes embassy, each country is represented in canada by a consulate or an embassy. it would ages to send them back to the original country for double check.sharuu said:The PCC you provided, they check for its reliability too if the documents are correct or not. "my source" told me, the FBI (Fingerprint) is for Interpol, international database for crime. makes things "easier" for them.HMIDATOU said:why do they ask us to send them fib reports if they are gonna use them as basis for their decision, if they don't believe those reports, they should do them on their own without us wasting time on getting background checks. it sounds like it's a double work. i lived in two countries in the past 10 years. how should it take for them to know that my record is clean. all they need to do is do the same thing we did, contact our countries and find out how clean is our record, it doesn't take one year to do this, i would say 3 months should plenty.
who was the person responsible for closing down buffalo, it's a careless decision and very stupid of them to close down a processing agency while they are complaining about backlog.
Isnt fingeprint just for canada and not to be used for other countries?lepatissier07 said:"my source" told me, the FBI (Fingerprint) is for Interpol, international database for crime. makes things "easier" for them.
