BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

Hey guys, I have a couple of questions on some items that were discussed before:
1- for those who have their medicals expiring soon, are you planning to send an email to ottawa to request an extension, or not?
2- i dont mean to freak you out but I read somewhere as well that processing timeline for ottawa is 1 year after transfer; I dont think its true because we've already seen 2 PPR's for May transfers
3- is there a difference between ottawa processing for QSW's and PNP's?

1. Mine already expired and I didnt email them. They are extending the medicals already so I think we should be safe.
2. I sure hope not buddy!
3. It seems varied timelines between QSWs applicants so cant really compare the 2 categories..

Well at least it tells me that this case is not from pre September 2011 :. Also its cool. I will take this feature with me once I get my PR and start traveling the world .

Dont tell me you are not going to invite me with you to travel the world...

not sure what benefit it will do to send them an email...if they want to do it, they will themselves....

I just a mail from my MP's office. Below is excerpt from the mail;

Oct 4 2012 next bring forward date. No Eligibility decision as of yet. 21 month processing time.
File in London. Completion date March 2013

I am highly confused, very sad.

MR : Sept. 10, 2011
Medicals Done: Oct. 13th 2011.

All I need is my spouse, the PR can rest!!!!

That is where the big question lies. How did my file get to London(UK)? I am presently in Canada, and have been here
for 5+yrs now. My spouse alone is in my home country. I submitted my application to Buffalo. How could my file be in London?

Or Does London in Ontario have CIC office?

I dont know buddy.. What is your timeline? I would suggest you to get GCMS as soon as possible, that should clarify some doubts.

I just discovered that CIC has a processing center at London Ontario. I doubt my file will get to UK when I applied from within Canada.

An office is different than a processing centre. Most big cities have CIC offices, that does not mean they are processing centres. London Ontario has an office not a processing centre. I have never seen someone's file been sent to London Ontario for processing before.

Your timeline isnt very bad actually. at least we are on the same batch. I did medicals Sept (end).

I think all we need, is to keep ourselves hopeful until end of Sept.

There we can discuss what steps we can take. I am pretty sure Sept, Oct and some Nov Medical Requests are all held.

Pls ask for GCMS right away, call CIC to know your file location, and send an e-mail to Ottawa on your file status.

How then did I end up in London?

I dont think anyone can answer this question apart from assuming. You need to get GCMS Notes and it will clarify all your doubts and I would recommend you to do it as soon as possible. Secondly, just call CIC Call Center and ask them this question. I know its tough but remain calm, thats the key. It will take time but you will get through this.

One thing we can all take out from Curious_city's case is his due date is October 4th. Now, he is a June Applicant and I am assuming that he got transferred in July. That is 3 months from the time the file got transferred. October is the month to look out for!

Did your MP contact Ottawa? If he did, I am wondering how can he get the information from London, UK? Secondly, looking at the timelines, 21 months? I just looked at the processing times for London, UK and it says 21 months!!!
