an MP has contacted one of my friends friend, regarding the PR application. She has been told the next due date for her is Feb 2012.

If sending to UK is just real, then the game gets more complicated.

could you guys, in these days, contact CIC phone? its always busy, and no chance for a reply.at least for me.

Feb 2012? or Feb 2013? I also am wondering about the London UK. The next due date in his case is Oct 2012 and then March 2013, so 6 months gap! We can only assume ..

I'm just asking myself:

Does it really matter where they are processing the file, as long as they're processing?

....

My CSQ was processed in Montreal, then i had to send it to Buffalo (which closed), then it got transferred to Ottawa, and my secondary office is Detroit... why? don't know,...and i don't really care....they have their reasons for sure. :) the only thing which would change for me is the address on the envelope where to send my doc's. :)

That is where the big question lies. How did my file get to London(UK)? I am presently in Canada, and have been here
for 5+yrs now. My spouse alone is in my home country. I submitted my application to Buffalo. How could my file be in London?

Or Does London in Ontario have CIC office?
I'm just curious. Are you from a country that sends Canadian immigration applications to London, UK? Also, are you from the UK itself?

I am neither from UK nor from any country that sends CIC application to UK. I have never been to UK yet.

All the places you mentioned here are in North America and there was a good reason for moving your application from Buffalo to Ottawa.
There are lots of hidden criteria used for different regions. Like sharuu said, things like processing times, due dates do matter.

I would recommend getting GCMS as soon as possible and call CIC Call Center also. Keep us updated!

I do understand your problem, and i don't want to cause trouble here, it is just my point of view.

And i'm sure there is also a good reason they moved yours! whether its continental, or inter-continental. They make the rules.

Due times and processing times are nice to know, of course. but as we can all see, they are most of the time not reliable. And, if we wouldn't have GCMS notes, we wouldn't know it either, and as we can see, its just a "relative" guide. I'm from germany for example, they could have also sent it to vienna, instead of berlin. and even germany has one CIC Center in Berlin, and, another "unknown" one in Munich. They communicate with each other, and transfer it where they think it'll be right. And if they realize in the UK, that your file does not belong there, it'll come back, and possibly its on its way back already, you see what i mean?

What i'm trying to say is, i wouldn't worry to much why they transferred it to London UK, or London, Ontario, possibly, whether they are supposed to do some processing there or not,... you can see they're working on it.

Please don't get me wrong. I understand the frustration that there is no reasoning with authorities, we all just hang in there air, thats what comes with it, and must be known the moment we apply.

I hope i didn't make myself some enemies here.

We are all here to help each other :) I see your point but I think in his case, he wants his spouse to be with him and the processing time is less for Inland than Outland. We all want to get PPR as soon as possible and whenever something out of the ordinary happens it adds to our frustration. In regard to the due dates, well apart from GCMS usually they occur every 2-3 months from the last due date. If your file hasnt been updated for 6-8 month it doesnt mean VO hasnt looked at it. It means he looked but no updates available for example background checks still pending. So, for outland it takes more time and we all want this process to get over asap.

Probably it is planned and they do want the file to go to UK. Why? We dont know and GCMS might tell from their Notes. What if it wasnt intended? Secondly, when you fill the forms they ask you to fill the Visa Office where you want to apply. We put in Buffalo but because it closed they transferred to Ottawa. Now, it said Ottawa but why London then?

Would it not worry you if this was your case?

The worst thing is that they do not update the status reqularly.
They have the platform, but rarely use it. and often when everything else has been done.

If someone know where the file is going, i would not make any confusion nor any stress. but suspense, is a bad feeling.
for me, I dont even know where is my file. Buffalo does not answer, and Ottawa says an officer will contact you in case its needed.

and here is the funny side.
my application package, was lost in Canada Post for one month. the Express post with tracking. No one knew where it is. I could only get my money back. luckily it was found after a month in a city near border!

now thats luck. we need more of it of course.

I haven't read all the posts and don't know whats the conclusion drew in your case. First you can make sure the MP office doesn't mix up your case with someone else case. CIC use a different call back number to get back to MP office. Pls call CIC and tell them your situation and confirm the location of your file.

Yes.
I have requested a GCMS begining of Sept 2012. Probably have to wait for the next two weeks.
I see my timeline in the left box. Cant you see it you mean?

Here is the timeline.
Application : Mid April 2011
Cashed Money Order in June

Medical Request (for me and many other friends who applied the same month or earlier and a bit later): 22 Sept 2011.
Medical recieved Nov 2011.

E-Cas is application received.
The only change was 2 weeks ago, when an extra Address box was added next to previous one, mentioning Mailing address next to Home address. They are both the same.

At least I know someone has touched the process. no matter if that was a soft and irrelevant touch! ;D

and so far, no news as most of people around.
Couple of emails to CIC, Answer is typical (my friends have received the same text)

I am inland actually, 4 years in quebec so far.

I am not worried. I have experienced harsher and harder in life. It is just that I dont really know what to do next.
Sometimes, I think even a decline would be much better than suspense.

But I am always happy. We will go through this.
At this point, I think it is not really necessary to ask an MP. maybe later if i get no news. :) ;)

Is she an 2012 applicant? I have seen due dates in 2013 for 2012 applicants, that may make sense. If she is from 2011 that could be a big worry.
