As per the following link, CIC is planning to take 74,000 - 80,400 FSW applicants (including PAs and dependants) in the year 2011, which could be the reason for slowdown as they have to regulate the number of new entrants.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/publications/annual-report2010/section1.asp#part1_1

Very poor planning on CIC's part.

oh bummer ... only 33,200 to 36,600 principal FSW applicants out of 240,000 - 265,000

hi zulkfal great to find news of your MR ... congrats

i have a question: what was in your MR packet? ...

- did it have initial assessment completion letter (with waived interview) ? Yes
- did they ask you for PCC, new bank statement since I assume your older PCC, bank statements might either be expired or close to expiry ? Asked for bank statement, haven't asked for PCC, but birth certificate, updated candian transcripts
- did they ask for RPRF or have you sent it to them already ? asked with the medicals

thanks @ zulkfal

it seems my case is really unique, i was sent those items except for the MR itself ... i have no idea why they stopped short of attaching medical forms with the rest of the documents

Danhass, keep fingers crossed buffalo has start moving last week 2 PPR and mine medical as well. So hope things will move up soon for as well.

well it seems like those who got 'in process' last summer are still waiting ... and those who are getting 'in process' these days are getting MR right away (like within a couple weeks) ...

may be you are correct.....

but as per this forum or this thread zulkfal has got MR most recently.....
his status was In Process long time back, but good thing is (as per following link) he is the first person among us, whose file was not t/f from Buffalo and he has got MR
