Firstly, congrats on receiving the Med Reg, the final approval will not be too long ;)
People have done Med Exam for spouse in different countries without the form and didn't have any problem at all. Be sure to give the DMP the file number, they had the form themselves. Ottawa office tracks the Med Results by file number. You and your wife should be ok then
Congrats again,

thanks a lot, I have asked my wife to contact MDP tomorrow. Thanks to all other members

got my caips notes yesterday....

i have a line that says BF FILE TO: NE4 ON 02-06-2011
so does that mean my file will be opened on the 2nd of june???

PSDEC: 0
SELDEC: 0

They have entered points next to each column and the total is below.
TOTAL POINTS: 83

I have done my meds before the request last month so hopefully VO sees it in the system on the 2nd of June.....

Yup the DFD's is 02/06/2011.
It normally takes 5-6 weeks for visa office to update Med's, you might recv PPR or may get med request. little ambiguity here.

hi zulkfal great to find news of your MR ... congrats

i have a question: what was in your MR packet? ...

- did it have initial assessment completion letter (with waived interview) ?
- did they ask you for PCC, new bank statement since I assume your older PCC, bank statements might either be expired or close to expiry ?
- did they ask for RPRF or have you sent it to them already ?

Just a got reply from detroit for my enquiry, not really convincing and also goes to show how they are delaying the process month by month, perfect example is here

I sent an email for an enquiry on April 8th , this was their reply

"The file is still in que and will come up for a final review in May I anticipate that a request for the submission of passports will be sent at that time. CIC is working to closely to manage arrivals in Canada so that we may meet, not exceed, the immigration levels set by Parliament for 2011."

I sent an email today that is 9th may , this was their reply

This perfectly shows things are getting delayed on their end and even they are not even sure when would all the case would exactly be processed ,it may even take months before we even see any further process,i won't be suprised if this keep on moving up for another 6 months, really disappointing..

okay now that the cat is out of the bag ... a similar thing has happened with me:

i sent an email to Buffalo VO about why i'm not getting MR and got a reply on April 4:

"We will forward you the medicals shortly. For the moment, your application is in process"

shortly??? ... i was excited and thought i'm gonna get it the same week ... wrong me ... i sent an email a month later and got the following reply on May 4:

"We will send your medical forms to you shortly"

shortly again??? ... this time i'm not so excited ... WTH do the Buffalo people mean by 'shortly'? very very depressing

In Sept 2010, I mentioned qorax that my case status is In Process & I have already submitted addition documents, what CIC had asked; can I expect medical request or further action in couple weeks. He suggested not to expect in weeks but count on months.... I am still counting.... I was very excited that time, but now I understand what qorax meant....I have sent 2 CSI, but did not get reply to any of those.... :-X

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/releases/2010/2010-11-01a.asp

the link says CIC plans to have 240,000 to 265,000 immigrants in 2011

on this forum, someone received an email saying 'we received 425,000 apps last year and 144,000 are still pending decision' ... means they processed 425,000 - 144,000 = 281,000 apps last year ... but that includes apps that were rejected/denied i guess

any comments?

As per the following link, CIC is planning to take 74,000 - 80,400 FSW applicants (including PAs and dependants) in the year 2011, which could be the reason for slowdown as they have to regulate the number of new entrants.

Very poor planning on CIC's part.

Most of us on this thread are sailing on the pre-June 2010 boat which is stranded in deep waters and we are all trying to find our ways.

oh in this case I am not in same boat but we are on same port (BUFFALO NY).

Following is closing part of my long mail to Buffalo which I sent last week:

It has been 18 months since my application was sent to CIO, NS and over 13 months since my full documents were received at Buffalo VO.

I appreciate the fact that new Ministerial Instructions (MI-2) were issued in June 2010, and CIC is overwhelmed with number of applications and has to manage the inventory to regulate admissions into Canada. The fact also remains that I met the requirement of Ministerial Instructions of February 2008 hence the request to process my case on the “First in and First out” principle.

I am sure above narration explains increase in my anxiety level due to long and uncertain processing time. I shall be really grateful if you would let me know the expected time frame to get medical instructions and to complete the PR process to make some knowledgeable decisions for my life.

Yours sincerely,

I just received their standard/generic answer:

Your application is in process. No further action is required by you at this time.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.
