I got an email from Buffalo requesting my passport today at 14:50 EDT!!!! Thank you to everyone for your help and support!

I think that I am going to fly from Edmonton to Toronto or Hamilton on Monday, cross back into the U.S., get my visa, and come back into Canada. I don't want to be without my passport for several weeks if I send it, in case I have to leave Canada in an emergency.
Cool man... You 're only few weeks ahead of me ;)). Let's see if I have something in the coming weeks :D

I am sure that you'll hear something soon.

I will write about the landing process after it is complete.

Hi guys,

Congrats to all whose cases progressed!

My Status has changed to "In process". The ECAS says:
"Your application was reviewed and we started processing on October 21, 2010"

I am logging in after about 2 weeks. Last I checked my status on October 24th, it was Received by VO.

This forum has been a great resource. Thanks to the founders/seniors

SENIORS...!
I have two questions:
1. I have recently moved to Singapore from US for a job while my wife and kids are still in US. My wife is the primary applicant. How shall we go about the medicals in this situation?
2. How long should it take to get the med request??

Best of luck to all who are still waiting....!

Let me try ;)
2) You'll be receiving Med Req in the next few weeks (I mean your wife) and they will send you forms for each family member (your wife, your kids and you).
1) Your situation has happened recently with several member in which primary applicant and spouse are not in the same country. Your wife and your kids have to get the exam in US, and you have to get your form (somehow) and get the Med Exam in Singapore (find DMP accepted in the area). Then you'll have that DMP send Med Result DIRECTLY to the Ottawa (not the local VISA office - DMP might be confused with the situation).
Or the easier solution for you is that to take 2-3 days off and flight back here to US reunite with your family and get the Med Exam together ;).
My 2 cents,

Hello

So its been 6 months since I received my 2nd AOR from Buffalo... and I have not heard anything from them since... should I email them and ask for an update or should I wait.

I ordered CAIPS notes, which don't tell me much... I got 10 points for age and no other points, my BFD is May 11, 2011. So does that mean I will only hear from them next year???? I really what to know whats going on... do you recommend I email them?

I am not an expert, and I am in same situation (submitted my documents 6 months back & have second AOR but not sure about my BFD);
we don't have choice other than to wait.

If your BFD is May 2011; that means your case would come to the consideration on or before this date.

Hello all
Just wanted to update this thread and let you all know that my husband and I got our visas on 11/2. Very happy after such a long wait!! It took a year and over 1 month to get it. Our destination is Alberta. We hope to be moved by Christmas. I also have a job waiting so it makes it even better! I wish you all the best and for those that have been waiting for what seems like forever with no movement just try to have patience. That is the key.

congratulations, and would you like to share your timeline?

wish you have a wonderful life in Canada.
