Once you landed and arrived at the airport, you would have to show your pet's papers (vaccination record, health certificate) to the custom. Then you can proceed to exit. Last time I brought my puppy and paid nothing (except the airline had to book in advance and paid at check-in counter).I know I have time. But if I get my PR approved, I would certainly need to transport my Persian Cat to Canada. Anyone has ideas about what are the proceedures, cost etc.,?

It's okay for pets to travel as a special baggage. It's ventilated. My puppy was also check-in as special baggage. But he's young and healthy. I think he was the only animal on board!Thank you @steaky
I am also worried about the 'transportation' itself. What I mean is, I read somewhere that airlines are not allowing us to take pets into the cabin (in India). I am super scared to move my pet as Cargo. He means a lot to us and he has some health issues as well.
Trying to find someone who can help with this tricky situation.
Bringing Cat to Canada explained here in this link below, depending on home country maybe need a rabies certificate .For transport check with airlineDear mam /sir
I m going to canada next year for my higher study with my mother and my cat as there will be no one here to look after her. I have exactly one year in my hands but i dont know any any thing about pet relocation. Plz tell me the documents that will be needed(passports ,licence etc) .
Contact the airline or pet relocation company.Respected sir/madam,
I'm traveling to Canada for my higher education the next year from India, I wanted to have my pet with me there since there is no available for him to take care over here, I would like to know the approximate cost on how much it would cost me to have him there.
Hi there, I am in the same situation as you. Can you tell me what approach did you follow? I am worried about my dog since he is pretty old to travel in a cargo.Thank you @steaky
