BOWP - September 2015 Applicants

In processing times, they currently have September 3, 2015 for online applications. Did anyone from September 1st week received BOWP who applied online?

Wait, what? I've applied online on August 27th - exactly 1 week before September 3rd they are processing now and I've had my BOWP & SOWP for close to 2 months. What have they been doing for all that time?

I don't know. But the funny thing is, since they revamped the processing time page, it now says August 12 again. :-X Which, I assume, is only a mistake and should read September 3 again.

I hope what you said is true and guess they are not really lagging behind, only thing we can do is wait until we hear someone receiving their BOWP.

I did my medicals in February - no visible progress since then. My BOWP was issued on November 13th.

My BOWP is approved today. Application filed on Sept 9, 2015. I am Sept 2014 CEC applicant. GCMS notes has Eligibility empty.
Remarks on BOWP are: Temporary resident status maintained as per R183(6).

Mine was paper application coz processing time seemed a few days less than online.
GCMS was dated November 23, 2015.

Just checked processing times. They now have a separate option for new work permit applications.

Do BOWPs class a work permit extension application, or a new work permit application?

The processing times are significantly different.

That doesn't make sense to me, as the BOWP in itself isn't a work permit extension, it's a new open work permit. You just have to have applied for an extension in order to qualify for a BOWP.

That doesn't make sense to me, as the BOWP in itself isn't a work permit extension, it's a new open work permit. You just have to have applied for an extension in order to qualify for a BOWP.

You extend it, because you had a closed one before. I know this "new employer"-thing sounds confusing at first, but I have been through this process before, trust me. I applied for my second one. Take a look at the application form, as well, so you will what I mean.
