BOWP - September 2015 Applicants

my BOWP got approved on 7th jan and received today via mail...
i had applied for me and my wife on 16th sept via paper with AOR and received by cic on 18th of sept,2015.

Too funny, I mean, it was obvious that the processing times are over 130 days now... but they completed only 2 days in the meantime for online applicants. :-X

And if it really were 132 days today, then they should be working on September 4 applications.

For BOWP do we need to see Work Permit extension (same employer) and Work Permit Extension (new employer)? Either way its showing both of them as 132 days

It's "new employer" for BOWP.

I just logged into MyCIC and saw that my BOWP status was "Updated". When I opened the case and returned to the Welcome page, it showed "Submitted" again.

It's Monday morning/night, way too early to have an update (or is it a possible batch?), and I don't think they worked on Sunday. Anyhow, I had the same when I applied for my first BOWP last year. Hoping for the best later today. (September 5 applicant)

I also had the "Details" status set to "updated" yesterday and when I returned to the page again, it said "submitted" again as usual.

I think they are working on your file.

HI Friends,

QUESTION REGARDING BOWP ? As i Old CEC (September,2014 Applicant)

My PGWP and my wife (dependent)Work Permit will expiry in August,2016 and i am sure i will need a BOWP therefore i need some help from you guys if you please share your thought here.

How to i and my wife both can apply BOWP as same time ?

Do i need to go for paper base or online application ?

What are the step that i need to be consider before applying BOWP ?

I just spoke to an agent of CIC. He told me that they are currently working on August 28th (online) applications, how it is described on their website.

I told him, I was concerned, because the 132 days are already over, but he said, the days have nothing to do with it, we need to keep an eye on the current date only. The days only relate to the current date, I guess.

However, being on implied status will not change the conditions of the work permit. If you are currently on an open work permit, you can proceed as usual, and even change jobs.
