does bowp belongs to "new employer" or "same employer"? my app by paper received on June 8th and wondering when will they process my case

it is usually an open work permit = u can work for any employer with this permit, but again depends on what u applied for

I am a May 15 applicant too and still awaiting. You got some positive response on your call with CIC. We will wait and see if somethings comes up in 10 days.

When I called called CIC, the agent kept repeating the old IVR message (Currently we are processing application till May 5) and was not in a mood to listen further. Did the agent tell you why this is being delayed?

She didn't knew why it is being delayed. But she said I should hear back in 10 days. If I don't then call back on Sep 25.

Just got an update email. The status of my application changed from submitted to updated but the detail grid is still the same. Well, at least it seems as if something is moving...

I applied May 25th (shortly before you) and got a email update on Aug 31 but when I went in, nothing seemed to have changed. Hopefully we all hear back soon. I'm on day 116.

Guys, here is my timeline with regards to this application.

May 15 - Applied
June 5 - Got mail Your application has been updated.
July 14 - Got email saying there has been no updates to your application
July 30 - Got mail Your application has been updated.
August 13 - Got email saying there has been no updates to your application
September 12 - Got email saying there has been no updates to your application

I am still waiting for approval.

Processing times are f***ed up . If I don't get my WP by Friday I can't work any longer for current employer. Only god can help us now.
