BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

I know ppl got BOWP even when expiry date on their Current WP was more than 4 months by explaining the reason for their application.

Is it possible now after Updated bulletin OB485A ?

Can we apply BOWP when 6 months are left on my current WP, reason is my WP is closed and my contract is ending in next 2 month.

I applied for BOWP early Sept 2013. I attached all the required documents as well as the explanation letter. The problem I have just noticed is that I have written in the letter that I have been working in Canada since Dec 2012 where as it was supposed to be Dec 2010. My AOR was received on Aug 31st 2012 and I have already completed my medical as well. I hope they consider this an honest mistake because when they look at my file they will see that it was filed in Aug 2012. Any body had issues on wrong dates in the explanation letter?

I called them. They were not of much help. Told me to that no information can be added to the work permit application now. Told me to wait and see what the officer does and hopefully catches the mistake as a typo. Hopefully no problems arise as I have applied for BOWP after getting medicals and everything and have also attached the AOR from 31st Aug 2012. Pretty tensed now.

1. I am filling IMM5710E and for the question three ie "I am applying for one or more of the follwing" What option should I be checking in. The options where a) Work with the same employer. b) work for different employer.

I am currently employed and after getting my BOWP i might me looking for new job.

2. As i am currently employed should I be filling the details of prospective employer details.

Hi,

Wondering if anyone has contacted CIC to add information to their online BOWP application. I have made an error in the explanation letter and would like to make them aware of this before they begin processing the file. Can anyone tell me what the email address is? I called CIC and they said online files cannot be modified which I know. I think they are not knowledgeable enough. If someone has contacted CIC about the BOWP let me know.

Hi Friends..
We applied BOWP on 12th Aug and approved on 12th Sep..
I have not received my work permit..but, we received my wife's work permit though both applications are approved on the same day.

When I call customer support, they mentioned that it may take up to 6 weeks.. they can take any action only after 6 weeks..
Does any one received work permit with 2 - 6 weeks delay? ..if yes, what was the latest time?

Atern, 95% cases I have read here who have applied BOWP selected 'Work for New Employer' option. They got it approved. I have also selected the same even though I am working currently and may work with same employer. My decision is pending until 15th oct. Actually problem while selecting 'same employer' option could lead issue if VO ask you for LMO and then close WP. so don't take risk. LMO processing is taking more than 6 months now.
